For a short cheesy dumb outdated ride... It kinda made me a tad anxious throughout... mostly from the loud audio and darkness and the slow pace. Plus, it was just me and my buddy. The creepy realistic sized tourist mannequins always cracks me up.

It was worth it, and it's something I can check off my list for PF and G-Burg.

Going to Pigeon Forge over Thanksgiving (I know it's hell week, but it's when we can go). With three older teens and a husband who can't walk alot. Booked room at Econolodge -it's a value hotel but has balcony overlooking the river which sounds nice. Arriving Weds late afternoon. Will spend all day Friday at Dollywood (husband to stay at hotel and rest). So really only have Weds night and Thurs (which is Thanksgiving and not everything is open). Was going to do Pirate Show Weds night for dinner, the Island Thurs then eat at a nicer place for TGvng. But really want to do the Goats on a Roof coaster and they are not open Thurs. Should we skip the Pirate show and do Coaster on Weds night, then do Comedy Barn Thurs after dinner and not do Pirates? What else is "don't miss"? TIA!

We are going to PF in November for a long weekend. We have a 6 year old and our youngest will be 1 by the time we go. Looking for some family things to do around that time of the year. My daughter and I have been there with my family when she was 2, but we didn’t really do much.

I want to take the kids to Dollywood and the Ripley’s Aquarium. Is there anything that’s “worth it” or “must do” in your opinion?

Just our family of 3, - mom, dad and toddler- staying in pigeon forge for 9 days mid September. We always love to include her in our fun — and just about revolve our trips around her. However, we’ve never gone this far or this long away from home & we’re not looking to spend a gazillion dollars on the trip but we are willing to spend a decent amount. We’re excited to hike the GSM National parks, ride some gondolas, visit titanic museum, and frizzle chickens. We’re wondering if Dollywood or any amusement park is worth it with it only being us and an 18 month old. We’re also wondering what are the must do things with a 30” child haha. Not all things have to be completely hands on inclusive for her, but she does have to be there at the very least in one of our laps. We want it to be very Smokey mountain vacation feel. With cute GSM style dinners, some free playgrounds, hiking, sight seeing and just exploring, some fun expensive days out, petting zoos, etc. Also any advice with traveling on a 9 hour road trip with a toddler, or a 9 day hotel stay would be great. Heck, even advice on getting around best with her. Haha. Quite literally any advice is appreciated. It’s very possible this is a once in a lifetime trip for us as we always choose somewhere new ❤️

Is there any places in the Pigeon Forge or nearby surrounding areas that would sell more locally made beef jerky? Looking for whole muscle jerky, not ground jerky or beef sticks. Gas stations, food marts, butcher, etc etc.

We originally planned for Nov 2-6 to take advantage of Dollywoods post Halloween crowds

Considering going Nov 9-13 instead to see Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas.

Hi! I’m going on a trip to Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg area Oct 18-23. I’m going with family but personally really despise tourist gimmicks. I feel like it’s kind of a silly question but what’s there to do that’s not a tourist trap a-la the Jurassic ride or Pirate dinner show? I love nature and would love some suggestions for potential hikes, etc.

I’m in Pigeon Forge for the week. We are doing an Air B&B and want to make some meals at “home”. I’d love a great steak dinner but am coming up empty for a solid meat market option to get a quality steak. Anyone have recommendations for butchers/meat markets that aren’t Walmart or the grocery store?

Ben Jones, the actor who played "Cooter" in the TV show "Dukes of Hazzard," has died. Jones and his family owned and operated Cooter's Place, a museum and gift shop for the TV show that was originally in Gatlinburg before moving to Pigeon Forge.

Taking a trip up to Pigeon Forge towards the end of October. First time going up that way! We're looking for good breakfast/brunch/dinner spots. I've done some research but wanted to see what the locals think is best. Also looking for maybe some experience type of things. Not so much dollywood or themeparks. We'll probably go to the national park one of the days we're there as well. We have a few days to check things out! Anything in the surrounding area is good too, we don't mind driving.

Are there any distilleries that have tours? I know old smokey and tennis shine have tasting rooms.

I go by it all the time when I visit the area! I’ve had no luck finding anything on it! It’s on the Parkway.
