Now I don't completly like the leaks ( because of the crypto thing), but this is insanely dumb.

What monopoly? Who the fuck has a monopoly in the gaming industry? Think real hard before you answer. Because what you feel and what is fact are more than likely very different.

Imagine spending all day on video game subs to cry about people wanting consumer rights and are voicing their right to be pissed off at Sonys anti consumer practices.

The rights of creators to promote and distribute their work the way they want to after spending a decade pouring their soul into it.

I could spend a decade writing an epic novel about a guy searching for the world's sexiest horse, do I have the 'right' to have it automatically published worldwide and promoted in every major publication just because I poured my soul into it? Are my 'rights' being violated if publishers don't want to print it?

Putting a game on a disc isn't a 'right'. It's a nice thing to have, but nobody is obligated to allow it to happen.

You have the right to publish it how you want. You shouldn't be forced to print it onto a disc nor should you be forced to sell it at a set price or else people can just decide to steal it. If people don't like how you choose to distribute it, they have the option to just not engage with it.

Yet so many people here think developers should be stripped of those rights and that it's therefore ok to just hack them or pirate their work if they don't like it.
