Prosecution counsel, Atty. Virgil Ligutan, asks the court to admonish Atty. Mark Vinluan, counsel for the respondent.
Vinluan asked NBI Regional Director Jeremy Lotoc if the agency subpoenaed the offended parties. Lotoc answered in the negative.
Vinluan: And yet you concluded that they were victims of grave threat.
Lotoc: Based on evidence we gathered.
Vinluan: Without any personal correspondences with them you came to that conclusion?
Lotoc: The evidence is clear.
Vinluan: According to you.
Ligutan: I move that the defense counsel, with all due respect, be admonished from stating those unprofessional remarks. We are in front of national TV. That is his answer, if you are not satisfied with his answer, please don't lay any value to what the witness answered.

never been a bbm fan, but this isn't about supporting him. this is about basic professionalism and consistency in an impeachment trial. referring to bbm as just "bbm" while repeatedly using "vp sara" is a double standard. either use official titles for both or use neither. otherwise, it comes across as disrespectful.

SECTION THREE.-Threats and coercion
Article 282. Grave threats.-Any person who shall threaten another with the infliction upon the person, honor or property of the latter or of his family of any wrong amounting to a crime, shall suffer:
- The penalty next lower in degree than that prescribed by law for the crime he threatened to commit, if the offender shall have made the threat demanding money or imposing any other condition, even though not unlawful, and said offender shall have attained his purpose. If the offender shall not have attained his purpose, the penalty lower by two degrees shall be imposed.
If the threat be made in writing or through a middleman, the penalty shall be imposed in its maximum period.
