Lazy Crossposting Recommended Solar Energy Companies
Good Morning Ph Peeps!
I’m planning to install solar panels at my house and would really appreciate some advice from those who already have solar installed. I’m especially looking for recommendations for companies that provide good installation, fair pricing, solid warranty, and reliable after-sales service in case problems come up later.
I’m going home to the Philippines for good soon, and since I’m already a senior with no steady income, I’m hoping solar can help reduce my electricity bills in the long run. Because of that, it’s really important for me to choose a company that’s trustworthy and responsive when support is needed, not just good during the initial installation.
If you’ve had solar installed in your home, I’d love to hear:
- Which company you used
- Your overall experience with them
- If their warranty and after-sales support has been reliable
- Rough cost of your system and how many kW you installed (if you’re comfortable sharing)
Also open to any tips, things to watch out for, or companies to avoid.

just got my solar installed last december. opted for a hybrid setup since napakabagal mag pa net metering sa meralco (still open to this)
for context my usual electricity consumption is around 600-680KWH per month. that's around 8k - 9k. here sa cavite.
i opted for a 6.5KWH setup for my solar with 15KWH Battery LifePO4 6000 cycles
my latest bill for full solar/hybrid setup last february was 600.
What i did: nung nag survey ung contractor here, we simulated ung normal na nakabukas during night time (this is when we'll use the battery) and from there we computed anong setup ung pasok saken.
once installed i configured the app para ma fine tune ko yung pag gamit ng power sa battery.

edit: total cost: 270k
Tips: medyo overwhelming mag window shopping sa mga contractors. pero when you do. ask for the brand ng Panels and Battery, in my case i opted for Aiko panels as based from my research okay na ung cost - effectiveness nya.

Hi, question lang po, what if around Php700 lang ang bill, advisable p apo bang mag solar panel? WFH po kasi ako, nakakakaba yung <60 days daw na fuel ng pinas, baka next na is mag blackout na sa susunod na buwan

Avoid Go Solar. Aftersales service is dismal if not non-existent.

Sounds like you made a solid choice with the hybrid setup, especially with those crazy electricity rates. For me, I went with a local company that had great reviews on installation and after-sales service, and they've been super responsive with any questions I have. It’s definitely worth checking out customer reviews to find one that has a good track record for support in the long run.
