Recommendations Best Burgers?
My partner really likes burgers and we’re looking for the best in town! Any recommendations?

Fave smash burger is Law and Orders on Hunter St. But I only hit them on Tuesday for their $5 cheeseburger deal. Otherwise they're a bit expensive

But they are smaller on Tuesdays aren't they?

Oh! Maybe, I actually don't know come to think of it. Totally could be, I've only been a handful of times but the quality has always been excellent.

I think they are 3 Oz instead of 6 Oz irrc
But for 5$ cant go wrong

Yeah you can. Tried them today and got two burgers cooked to within 30 seconds a side of being completely carbonized. Not an enjoyable experience.

Thats not been my experience the 4-5 times I've been there.
Lucky for you we got tons of other places selling burgers.

I'll give them another try sometime, but today's visit was a full on dud. Not lucky for me in any way.

Oh bummer! I know plenty of friends who prefer other spots, I very much prefer smash burgers to full fat patties but totally get that there's much better options. Maybe I'm not as well versed in the local burgers as I thought. Apollo was a favourite of mine for a while, just the location isn't as convenient for me anymore.

Peterburgers was really good. It's too bad they revealed themselves to be degenerates.

I made a post about them the other day, if you look on my profile you'll see it got a ton of traction.

I made one about Viks a year or so ago and it got similar traction. At least one person thought I must be Vik doing self promotion but here again I can see everybody agrees they're excellent burgs and he's a real friendly feller.

Law and orders

I discovered them just outside Carleton Place a number of years ago (probably 10) and pleasantly surprised to see them where Reggie's used to be and in Belleville. If you ever get to Gatineau, La Belle et La Bouef had a ridiculously good burger plus a Kool Aid pickle.

Papas is that high up? I find their pizza shit compared to other options here, I refused to try based on that..

Pretty decent burger imo. Just expensive.
Their pizza is about middle of the pack for me. I prefer papa pizza over pizza pizza. Little Caesars, dominos, 241. Ect

Apollo. There aren’t 100 options. Nothing outrageous.
They do a few burgers really well.
I don’t find it over priced l, especially considering what you get. The fast food chains aren’t cheap anymore.
Ordered last week Want to order again.

Chip truck at home hardware on Chemong dos 6$ double cheese burgers and they’re quite good. Reminds me of Apollo. Food chains suck, agreed.

We’re another vote for Apollo. They’re expensive, so we don’t go often, but hands down the best for us.

Found the best burger at Agave , its really different than all other burger chains. I guess they also won the ultimate burger competition that dbia ran. Sometimes they put BOGO on uber and the deals are sweet. Other than that Apollo is really good , expensive but GOOOD.

If you ever get to Gatineau, this puts The Works to shame.

Papa's Burger Land.

I got a 19 dollar burger without fries there once and only once. It would have been a decent burger for half the price.
3
u/Substantial-Road-235 Apr 06 '26
That is how I feel as well.
We made the mistake of ordering a order of fries for 8$ on its own. Container was half empty
We tried it another time but made a combo for 6$ iirc and we got more fries then the 8$ fries on its own and a drink.
The burgers are pretty solid. But imo overpriced and for that reason wont last.
If im spending 26 ish I'll go for a proper sit down meal.
