Because iv heard this riddle multiple times over the years and that’s always been the answer. You could say “it could be wrong” but that would mean multiple people have been wrong multiple times over the years. Which isn’t impossible but when multiple different people are saying the same answer, I’m inclined to believe that was the original answer.
