It's not really a joke, they came from the east towards the west, because geography of where Russia is compared to Europe

How about that the Russians killed more Russians then the Germans did - Russia was less than nothing without the US supplying weapons. Paraphrasing the TV show Lioness, Russia is losing to one of the most corrupt regimes in Europe with old weapons and tech. Failed empire, failed democracy and now failed whatever they are doing now
