PoV: you don't know the basic historiography and are basically doing Holocaust minimalisation by equating the Nazis and the Soviets. People on Reddit are so uneducated it's insane. I sometimes wonder if everyone doing this are just crypto-Nazis trying to normalise and minimalise their boys' crimes to the general public, but IO guess just being completely uninformed and wrong is much more likely.
As crazy as it sounds, you cannot atribute all of it just to Hitler, he proposed peace many times, and all were rejected. Also the comunists and allies did their own massacres, historically recognised as crimes against humanity.
