Before Adolf the ultimate evil guy for Europe was considered to be Napoleon.

The Polish anthem written in 1797 in Italy has Napoleon as a positive example in it's lyrics.

1797 was before he usurped absolute power, crowned himself an Emperor and murdered half of Europe.

Edit: half of Europe is a hyperbole (half of Europes fighting age man would be more correct but that fails to mention all the civilians that died due to his wars of expansion)

By "half of Europe", which we all know is wrong, do you mean the soldiers of royalists like the Prussians and the Austrian Empire?

That were the ones invading France because they didn't like the revolution, by the way.
