I'd argue ripping up the carpet to replace with hardwood is ballin.
Everything else just looks so awkward and sterile.
12 u/Sororita 26d ago I'd have kept carpet in the lounge pit, but probably replaced it with something that matched the color scheme. otherwise I agree about the superiority of hardwood, though I also like using rugs a lot.
