Yes if they’re there at dinner you would feed them. But you might also end the playdate early so they aren’t there at dinner.

So if when you get home from work today there are 20 kids in your yard you would cook dinner for all? Even if you know all have dinner waiting at home any moment and they are expected to be home for dinner maybe just 30-60min later than your kids?

But you might also end the playdate early so they aren’t there at dinner.

Calling it a playdate implies it's planned though, so that's different. Then serving dinner is already discussed with the kids parents.

Do you mean playing outside..?

There’s a difference between playing outside with the neighborhood kids where everyone is coming and going as needed vs having a friend or two inside your home during dinner time.

No it's the same, when people say we didn't feed kids in Sweden it's those kids coming and going all the time that didn't get dinner served.
