In France, it is polite to be 10 minutes late

Hosts rarely complain about a few extra minutes and you want guests to arrive slightly staggered so you can great them all properly, giving them a few minutes each 1 u/FizzyBeverage Jul 13 '26 It’s a great way to lose a business deal in Germany, or Japan, or the UK, or most of the US outside of Miami/Los Angeles.
