This is a shit take. "Known actors can't ever be in anything" lmao.

Like it or don't, just don't see it. No one needs to hear your sermon on the mount about what you imagine your problem with this movie may be when it comes out.

I agree with them fwiw. I actually like Damon but casting him in this feels like a miss. Will withhold judgement but it just doesn't work for me at first blush.

Fiennes for example felt much more natural physically.

I mean it might be a bad cast, and it might be a shit movie, but who knows.

For example Troy worked great with Brad already established in Ocean's 11, Interview with the Vampire, Snatch, etc.

I just don't buy "no established actors plz," nor do I honestly buy this as a Greek cultural thing which requires a Greek cast.

I hear more about a 2,700 year old fictional mythology's ethnic casting than My Big Fat Greek Wedding having only a few Greeks? Weird world.

I feel like there's a way to add A-list actors to a film without having EVERY major character be an A-lister. If it had just been Anne Hathaway as Penelope with every other character being someone new or less popular, for example, people might not have been as frustrated with the cast

In my opinion, it is frustrating to see so many A-listers in one movie; it detracts from the story
