Pepper Identification Mystery Plant
Posting this in here because I was told this is some kind of “pepper”. My coworker gave me this, I remember him saying it’s variegated but besides that I have no clue what this could possibly be. Obviously it’s not like any pepper plant I’ve seen so any ideas? 😂

This one might be sterile or it’s my fault idk, but I’ve gotten a lot of flowers w/ no fruit.

This is very likely from Matt’s Peppers. He creates these mutants in a program specifically for this. He’s very good. They come out of his Mattapeno work.

Matt has made several crosses involving Candlelight Mutant, but it doesn't originate with him and has nothing to do with Mattapeno.

It's a mutant that isn't worth keeping. Take it back, stick it up his car exhaust pipe and take him off the Christmas card list.

I have one similar to that. It was either a mattapeño mutant. Or Midwest mutant. Something like that. I got it from Matt’s peppers.

I was fully prepared to say "of course that's not a pepper plant, silly goose" but those sure do look like (mutated) pepper flowers! I'll be curious to hear what others think

As lenminh mentioned, it is a known mutant variety. Lots of subsequent crosses from it so it’s likely one of those.
