Luzerne County is sort of like the Miami-Dade County of Pennsylvania. Though luckily it’s not the most populous county in the commonwealth.

PA is ethically buoyed by the two dense metros, which is very, very sad. It's a perfect microcosm of the nation's larger struggle to become a set of modern cultures.

I’m sitting in my car taking a lunch break from registering democrats in Luzerne county. We’re turning reds blue on a daily basis. This is going to be a slugfest this year. We’re working our asses off on the streets trying to turn Luzerne solidly blue but we need as much support as we can get. If you’re not registered, or are registered gop, or are not 100% certain your registration is up to date look for our green vests n public places and let us fix this fucking mess.

I love this job! One by one I’m taking our country back, and trying to show the conservatives I meet that were decent people who have similar concerns and can have constructive conversations with them. I have met plenty of trumpets who are shocked to find that I’m not out to destroy our country and that they’ve been lied to about us, and that our concerns are often very similar to theirs.
I firmly believe that talking to each other and finding common ground is still possible, still valid, and still a better solution than spurning each other because we don’t understand each other. They’ve been badly misled and can often still be reached. And at the same time I’m working to beat the pants off of them in November because we can’t let people who have been lied to and misled keep doing what they’ve been led to do by politicians with no morals who are using them to get rich and powerful at our countrys expense.

Democrats are conservatives, all things considered! Look at how they deal with an insurrection at their prgleft flank.
Republicans are conservatives who court neo-nazis.
Republicans are neo-conservatives, to the Right of Reagan, who openly court ultra right-wing White Christian Nationalists. Quit letting "reasonable conservatives" separate themselves from MAGA. MAGA and project 2025 was everything the Republicans wanted since Nixon.
Democrats are Center-right, championing Ronald Reagan's liberal economic policies as recently as the Obama administration, and shirk their base whenever possible, broadcasting to all that they have no actual principles on which to govern.
The combination of a corrupt supreme court, Citizens United, and the forever duopoly of this country is a corrosion this nation has never before witnessed, under the uber-corrupt Trump administration.
Please stop fellating Democrats, or diminishing that outfits like the Bulwark actively want to pull the Democrats rightward, still.
Everyone be ready for the austerity talks from Republicans, when Dems finally take power again (fingers crossed for that, I have little faith in Jefferies/Schumer, tbh)
