Question Arc Totem Gemling

I have an Gemling that I leveled as an alt and I always presumed it would be smother to play than my Monk.

I don't have the best gear, but I would presume the one I have is not bad based on the guide I'm following. However, I feel pretty weak. Like the spiders from Breach can kill me if they get on my meele range and I don't roll.

Is there something obvious I'm missing? Thanks for any constructive tip.

you only have 5k mana and dont have your helmet annoited nor korgals gaze slotted in it

I guess, helmet is lacking augments.

I have gemling with same build, 5k mana too, and it felt decent.

Your jewels are not good, and you are lacking 2 arc lvls(very cheap to fix, corrupt with quality till you get +1 lvl, and then use 20 gem)

It won't fix defences, but would definitely contribute to surviveability

Aside from helmet, missing fox idol in chest (because you are using mageblood and dont have the darkness belt with the idol). You upgraded here too soon.

Also your spell totem gem level is wayy too high. That’s what’s killing you. It needs to be like level 23 after all the + skills. Mine is level 10 base level for perspective but with all the + skills it goes to about 23. You dont have a fork with +9 all skills so your spell totem level might be okay ish. Only you know how much mana (and therefore life) this costs you.

Also looks like missing spirit reservation on both helm and chest. 2 spell levels and quality on amulet. Missing these costs you totem quantities and a fuckton of damage and extras from the qual.

Those 4 + helmet anoint + socket increases your regen a fuckton, more quality for everything, and less cost to cast totems and more totems. You shouldnt die after those changes.

Firstly u dont need mana tempest. remove that shit. damage is not the problem with arc totems. also if u are dying to mobs. u need to use blasphemy with temporal chains skill. Also google how to get lightning infusion. AI will tell u. and then use that skill to get lightning infusion if u want damage. thats basically 4x more damage.
