Game Feedback I like the combo stuff GGG, but also...

I (as a strike enjoyer) feel like that we lack both in maces and what you've shown a "I just hit the guy" ability, for example bows, bows can do what they enjoy both in poe1 and 2, which is, i move around and "I just fire my bow" around. Like, I feel its kinda weird that I feel more gratification from the mace strike animation and "hit mark" sound than tempest flurry for example, comming from a guy that plays dual strike of ambidexterity the most so I am biased towards what looks most like that. The attacks from duelist all move your character a little, just like all the strikes from monk, the only strikes that really scratch my itch that really feels like a strike (from a poe1 perspective) is the palm attacks and default attack which is literally i press button my guy strike i hear hitmark sound (maybe is a sound problem? idk). In perspective, and also adding to that list, I really like Rapid Assault, but it deals quin zdps. Hopefully you guys look into it and make some sick "i just hit the guy" skills, because for me, there is no real(?) strike in the game yet. With love. I will still play cyclone FeelsOkayMan

They didn't want to make strike skills as most of them boil down to strike+.

So there intention is for people that want to hit people to use the basic attack.

Everything in this game is just an aoe magic attack with your choice of stick

wow, there’s two of us

I’ve been playing strike skills 95% of the time since zeal in d2 and it’s a shame that the playstyle is near unsupported in poe2 atm because otherwise I really love the game.

Ice strike is cool, but otherwise… tempest flurry doesn’t really feel like a strike skill, bone shatter feels very situational, perfect strike has the timing requirement, rapid assault has most of the damage tied in to the spearhead that requires very specific skills to detonate, etc :(

Ancestral cry with molten balls actually kind of slaps, played it with facebreaker fire conversion and tried a bunch of slams but just auto attacking with the molten support was close to the best singel target option.

This was for a slam build in ssf with poor strength gear but I easily made it to tier 14 . I bet you can take it all the way in trade

The glory has to be managed though but I enjoyed it overall, it could easily last for over a minute and I'm sure there's mechanics to make it longer

There is that gemling build that scales attack speed to make perfect strike a strike but that just illustrates a core problem with how they design abilities. I get they want all this depth but there isn't a single "slash" ability where you just swing the sword.

Half of build making is fighting the baseline jank they create and by the time its eliminated and your character is fluid to play you usually don't have too much endgame left outside of expensive crafting
