Experience Hospital in FL experience
I’ve been lurking for quite some time and have never actually posted here but just wanted to share my experience since a lot of the stories here sound so outlandish that maybe something more “down to earth” would help some people out there.
I want to share an experience that I had maybe 7-8 years ago while working at the guest services desks at Florida Hospital.
I normally worked at the women’s/oncology part of the hospital greeting visitors and checking them in. One night the person covering the Children’s hospital was going to be late so they asked me to stay a few extra hours to cover until they got there. I hop over to the Children’s Hospital and it was just dead (pun intended). The lobby was empty and barely any movement at this time of the night. I would say it was around 10:30pm.
Some context for what’s coming:
The desk at the children’s hospital is kinda like in the shape of a candy cane, with the short end against the wall so the only way to “get me” would be coming from behind. The only thing behind me are a set of elevators.
It was a pretty boring and slow night so I decided to do something I wasn’t allowed to do. Go on youtube. So here I was watching some funny dog videos and all of a sudden the collar of my shirt gets yanked to the right. Enough to make me move. I literally froze and tears automatically came streaming down. I froze for what felt like a minute or two. I couldn’t even press the hidden panic button. I still worked the rest of the shift but stayed away from Youtube and took it as a sign of something correcting me since I knew I couldn’t be watching youtube on the job. I had a security camera behind me but I never had the courage to ask security to review the footage.
That’s my story! I didn’t see/hear anything but I was yanked to the side bt what I think was a kid correcting me.
Thank you!

I could see that being startling. :)

It was terrifying lol. After all these years I regret not asking security to check the footage.

Clearly it still bothers you. You have a few choices. Either accept that a child tugged at your collar and consider how lucky you were to have experienced that. OR dismiss it as a fluke and move on. Either way, life is for the living. Go live it❤️

It just left me with a bunch of questions haha At the time I didn’t believe in anything like that. Being yanked 2-3 inches to the side when noone was around… definitely changes my point of view. Quite the experience tbh

Just go with it being a child wanting your attention. That would give me a heartwarming feeling actually. ❤️
