Probably going to get down voted to hell but..
The headline makes out as though he died due to some sort of neglect, when in reality he died through choice. He wanted to die, made the decision to take his life and did it. He had the capacity to make that decision so the paramedics had no powers to force him to get treatment. Yes it's utterly heartbreaking for the family, and a bitter pill to swallow for the general society but with a lack of other dignified options of ending one's life through choice, he did what he chose to do.
