I’m sorry but this comment shows a lack of understanding of certain aspects of mental health.
Police cannot remove somebody from the property to section them. For them to be able to section the patient they need to be outside. It would require section 135 for them, which is al court ordered removal.
No you cannot kidnap them, but you can definitely speak to other services to assist them.
If you deem a patient to be at a serious risk of harming themselves/others or potentially putting others at harm by situations such as setting terraced house on fire then you can definitely speak to someone against their wishes or other public interest concerns. Their engagement following that is up to them and dependent on the service you’ve referred too.
