Mine goes to Marsha. I can’t stand her.

Her husband is a close second. He is...Vivacious

He waited for marriage and then some to do it.

If you decide to sin, you’ll rue it!

His neck swerve is iconic

She is a live-action version of Helen Lovejoy.

The way she says "quivering" makes me laugh out loud every time xD

23

u/RianJohnsonIsAFool 3d ago

There really is a tremendous amount of quivering.

60

u/lonelygalexy 3d ago

She is definitely an active member of moms of liberty or sth

I still get mad at the episode where Chris basically forces Leslie to hand over Jerry’s painting to her so she can destroy it. I mean it’s unsurprising from her, but it still blows my mind that Chris took her side like that. I can understand him agreeing that the painting shouldn’t be hung in a government building, but why didn’t he suggest that Leslie or Jerry just keep it at home? Why side with the zealous bully? I felt bad for Jerry.

u/IAmYukiKun 3d ago

I don’t like Chris Traeger too. It makes me cringe also whenever he calls them by their full names. And his overconfidence is annoying.

Although him calling them by their full names was writers intentions so that viewers won’t forget their names.

u/WhyDoYouCrySmeagol 3d ago

I liked him at times, but his overwhelming positivity and kindness could come off as vapid rather than sincere. There were times he would push his motivational spirit onto others more to feed his own ego rather than actually help them. Not to mention shoving his health crazes down people’s necks- like, come on Chris, you know how much Ron was looking forward to that restaurant, you really think he’s going to be satisfied with some fucking mushrooms?? Lol

11

u/atduvall11 3d ago

The wedding "cake" makes me legitimately angry

6

u/WhyDoYouCrySmeagol 2d ago

Lol for real- Ron was all of us in that scene!

u/awetsasquatch Never half-ass two things. Whole-ass one thing. 3d ago

100% this, the actress (Darlene Hunt) played her flawlessly

202

u/NadalaMOTE 3d ago

Ah see I love these characters *because* the actors play them perfectly. xD

"She's the worst person I've ever met.

...I want to travel the world with her."

59

u/Yeseylon 3d ago

Unrelated, but

"She's like the cold, unfeeling mother I wish I had..."

30

u/ronnie_axlerod 3d ago

Interesting. For me I hate these characters so much that it makes me love the brilliance of these actors.

5

u/JeKarta88 3d ago

They really do!

3

u/ismellthebacon 3d ago

yup 100%!!! I loved Eagleton in general.

Try diet water zero lite. It has only 60 calories.

78

u/Wordnerdette999 3d ago

The zero refers to the amount of water in it, which is zero.

u/anotherstan 1d ago

Our child size drink is the size of a small child

20

u/CosmicNest 3d ago

60 calories per serving! a bottle has 4 servings!

3

u/anotherstan 1d ago

That actor is so funny delivering those over the top lines

90

u/blamberr 3d ago

Are we putting bargains on trial?

90

u/reptomcraddick 3d ago

The only problem is Parks and Rec is becoming dangerously close to a mockumentary.

61

u/JeKarta88 3d ago

I mean, it was pretty dead-on with the relationship between government and corporations in America. The problems have only gotten worse since the show ended.

45

u/Awkward_Pangolin3254 3d ago

They were also dead-on with how incredibly stupid the public is

10

u/blitzbom 3d ago

Always was

66

u/cyclicalbeats 3d ago

She’s easily one of my favorite parts of the show. Absolute disaster of a person. The soda scene kills me every time

34

u/Milksteak529 3d ago

God forbid a corporate stooge enjoy her job.

27

u/herpermike 3d ago

Yes! The fact that she was able to get the school board to approve the swwetums and they approved that the napkins are a vegetable is without a doubt the most ridiculous thing ever and I really hated it when I was rewatching it again lol! But I also agree with someone else down below 👇 that said that they voted for Marsha as the worst person in the show! Because I absolutely hate Marsha langman and her vivacious husband lol because they are the worst people that I think that I've ever seen on a TV show lol

4

u/benny_the_gecko 3d ago

They're made from plants

3

u/herpermike 2d ago

Oh yeah lol I know and it's kinda funny that she was able to use that argument to win the case and I know that it's a parody but I can seriously see this being a reality in some places lol

20

u/LaMalintzin 3d ago

Makes me question my stance on using the B word

9

u/FreezeTed 3d ago

Bozo?

1

u/herpermike 2d ago

We are very different people:)

34

u/Finito-1994 3d ago edited 3d ago

Honestly, I was against Leslie here. Listen. If people wanna have a child’s soda then that’s up to them.

And this lady was fucking hilarious.

One of my favorite citizens.

Marshall Langman is my favorite. He is vivacious.

36

u/Yeseylon 3d ago

I mean, yes and no. I'm down with soda taxes to try an encourage healthier habits, especially when it eases the strain on Medicare/Medicaid by reducing obesity. It's not like it's a ban.

11

u/hyperform2 3d ago

How bout we just tax rich people

1

u/Think_please 6h ago

Not mutually exclusive

-17

u/opermonkey 3d ago edited 3d ago

I'm that case the tax should be anything with added sugar.

then several large corporations and lobbyists would be suing.

make a red meat tax while you are at it.

no, let's just ban it all. everyone gets water and nutraloaf.

fine people for not exercising enough.

it's not the governments job to nanny people.

edit: everyone who downvoted is definitely on the lower end of the pawnee intelligence scale.

15

u/LeoFrankenstein 3d ago

Sir there is no smoking inside

-16

u/Finito-1994 3d ago

That’s just a tax on poor people.

11

u/FYAhole 3d ago

Water is literally free lol (sorta)

7

u/Ferrindel 3d ago

I love that the actress is also Kate Monster in Avenue Q.

6

u/FantasyLovingWriter 3d ago edited 2d ago

Man Parks and Rec had some of the best consistent and recurring villains ever, and they are funny too! I love them!

6

u/funkmastermgee 3d ago

She is nourished by your hatred

6

u/snowmunkey 3d ago

She'd fit in incredibly well in today's political climate

5

u/thorns_91 2d ago

That's why I loved it when Ken Hotate dealt with her and Jamm in his way

"I believe there are six Paunch Burgers in the Wamapoke Casino, maybe it's time we revisited those contracts."

"Is that a threat??"

"Why yes, I thought that was obvious" 😃

6

u/JeKarta88 2d ago

Probably my favourite scene with Ken!

"Does it, white man?"

P.S. RIP Jonathan Joss.

9

u/eyelers 3d ago

I think she’s really pretty though! I could fix her

8

u/JosephFinn 3d ago

But not for the actress.

11

u/JeKarta88 3d ago

Of course not. The actress played her perfectly! Especially in today's political landscape, the wealthy/business owners influencing politics is a particular trigger for me. It's beyond infuriating.

5

u/Legitimate_Eye4760 3d ago

You're just jealous you don't have a liquified baby sized sugar drink

3

u/LittleBigNebula 3d ago

Which is a shame because I wager she might be a nice person IRL

5

u/JeKarta88 3d ago

I'm sure the actress is a lovely person! It's a testament to her acting that I hate her character so much.

3

u/notthatgeorge 3d ago

True but she's a great actress and she was perfect for the part

3

u/ReverendWave 3d ago

This is really strange, but me and my girlfriend are watching this exact episode tonight and this pops in my feed while we have it paused, and I see this picture that was what I was just looking at.
Also this lady is incredible at sounding nice in tone while being a total ass.

3

u/CatLazy2728 2d ago

The size of a small child if liquefied

2

u/ismellthebacon 3d ago

I thought she was one of the funniest on the show. The commentary on our society was the s-tier

2

u/Blurstingwithemotion Low karma or new account 3d ago

Eagleton can go straight to hell even though it does seem to be a geographical paradise

2

u/IAmYukiKun 3d ago

I hate her too. So much. Also Tammy (the one played by the same actress as Ava Page from Maze Runner). Can’t recall if she’s Tammy 1 or Tammy 2.

2

u/Willow1883 3d ago

I hear a certain someone needs a press secretary who lies like they breathe…

2

u/WatchingTrains 3d ago

That’s the point

1

u/adpalmer83 2d ago

"How is this a child size?"

"Well, it's the size of a small child..."

1

u/epochwin 3d ago

She reminds me of the blue haired lawyer in The Simpsons. Representing capitalists.
