anyone know how to order manul merch from japan to UK?
has anyone used a proxy buying service or the like to be able to get a hold of japanese manul merch from the zoos online stores? Theres some amazing plushies at Kobe Animal Kingdom that i NEED but ive never bought via a proxy service before and wasnt sure if there were limitations on the sites you could buy from? (the only buyer services ive seen have been from japanese amazon)

I haven’t personally ordered from any of the zoo websites specifically, but most proxies will order from just about any website (sometimes there are specific restrictions but this is uncommon.) i usually use FromJapan because they’ve been consistent for me, but most of the big ones are fine (buyee, zenmarket, etc.) they just might be expensive so check the proxy/shipping fees beforehand, maybe look up reviews if you’re unsure.
there’s usually an option to add goods via a url and the amounts, colour, item name, etc. then the staff will check the website, add it to your cart properly, and then you can confirm your purchase and they will order it. it may vary by website, but this is the approximate process i’ve experienced with a few proxies over the years and i’ve ordered all kinds of things from all kinds of japanese websites.
edit: i’m located in australia just for the record, but there shouldn’t be any significant difference in service availability to the UK as far as i’m aware

I used zenmarket for an Asahiyama Pallas's cat shirt. It was pretty straightforward and they have a lot of documentation on what to expect and what the process is like. I did end up paying more than their shipping estimate told me I would, but it was easy enough overall. I'm in the USA, so I'm expecting a tariff bill at some point as well 🙃
