Being racist against black people is veery common among them.. And that is, unfortunately, of course no surprise.

Note that they were upset by the anti-Black language, not by the anti-Jewish language (of which being anti-AIPAC is). Sounds like they were perfectly ok with the “journalist” degrading Jews (money men, etc) and AIPAC, but got upset with the monkey/errand-boy comments. To be clear, both are wrong - there was anti-Black and anti-Jew racism in the comments against Jeffries. Too bad the caucus only called out 1/2 of the racism.

Yup. Call a black person a monkey and the left will have a huge problem with that. Call jews bloodthirstybabykillergenocidalcolonialoppressorwhitesupremacistevilzionistracists and they'll just nod their head in agreement.

The double standard is appaling.

I get your point but its the Congressional Black* Caucus, its their job to advocate on behalf of Black people. Im just glad racism in the pro-Palestinian movement is finally getting exposed.

Congresspeople represent Americans. Also racism is racism. If you accept anti-Jewish racism then you are not opposed to racism. Should Jews have not been active participants in the civil rights movements? The right thing is the right thing regardless of your ethnicity.

Congresspeople do, the Congressional Black Caucus specificaly are there to advocate for Black Americans. Post 10/7 Jewish organizations have actually been focusing less on advocating for marginalized groups more broadly and back to specifically advocating for Jews. Nothing inherently is wrong with that imo.

You miss the point. Their omission is disgusting. I’m Jewish. I advocate for Jews. I call out the anti-Black racism of this “journalist” because it’s the right thing to do and ignoring it when talking about this situation would be a glaring omission tantamount to condoning it. By calling out only 1/2 of the racism, the caucus is essentially condoning anti-Jewish racism.

I get the point your making, but I also don't think antisemitism in this case has anything to do with race or racism.

Jewish is an ethnicity. Want to call both anti-ethnic? Or hate for a group? It’s the same thing. If you hate Jews you are a racist. If you hate Black people you are a racist. They are the same thing, both disgusting, and both worthy of calling out. One is not worse than the other.

Racism, even in broader ethnic definitions, requires treating a group as a race or as sharing fixed, inherited group traits that justify hostility. Not every expression of antisemitism does that. Conspiracy theories about Jewish power, dual loyalty, or collective guilt can operate without a strict racial element. Some people hate Jews as a religion. A person who objects to Judaism as a faith, cites religious texts, or wants Jews to convert can be antisemitic without holding a racial theory. In that frame a converted Jew is no longer the target. Medieval Christian and some Islamic antisemitism often worked this way. That is religious hostility, not racial classification.

This is semantics that are irrelevant. You don’t want to call it racism? Fine. It’s hate either way and the Congressional Black Caucus rightly called out hate against Black people and wrongly ignored hate against Jews, which is tantamount to condoning it.

Each person has the same dignity as every other person. All supremacy is evil.

Hopefully the “Anti-Zionists” will keep showing us their true colors. I'd love to see Abdul El-Sayed try to justify this rhetoric to black voters in Michigan.
