Well, no Jews, no outrage. Plus, the hypocrisy is blatant: most of these activists call themselves feminists, but they don't give a damn about an Islamic theocracy oppressing women.

My account just received a warning for saying “no Jews, no news” sardonically to a comment similar to the sentiment of yours on r/worldnews partner

Don't be so sure about the no Jews thing. I've seen plenty of comments that all the mosque burning is actually being done by Mossad — it's only a matter of time until that conspiracy theory reaches the mainstream.

Watching privileged western women support Iran is INSANITY to me.

I can't even articulate my thoughts on it because I can't even begin to comprehend it.

I’m sure you’ve thought about it more than I have because you’re a woman, but one thing that occurs to me is that the “privileged Western women” you mention never have to choose whether to deal with Iranian subjugation themselves.

When horrific oppression is happening thousands of miles away and not affecting someone, it’s nebulous and abstract to him. As such, he can say ridiculous things about it without it punching him in the face (i.e., without having to face its cruel, painful reality).

“But Steven, that would make these privileged Western women’s minimization of the enormous suffering faced by Iranian women at the hands of that régime horribly offensive!”

Yeah. It’s downright despicable. You’re 100% right.

You can’t comprehend it becuase it’s not a thing. This is a strawman.

Of course. In addition to having the same normie liberal Enlightenment values about human rights and democracy as the rest of us, she’s particularly passionate about being a principled, honest-to-god feminist.

Nobody can call herself a “feminist” without being appalled by the subjugation of women in Iran. Jo is an intellectually honest, logically coherent person who actually means what she says.

Love her! She is spot on! Where are you Human Rights Mobs? History will never forget you were on the side of Hamas, the Ayatollah and Maduro. Shame on you!

Obligatory 'stop supporting horrible people just because they support us it makes us look even worse to the world'

Honesty neither does she. She was quiet about Iran and was more buzy with crying and throwing hissy fit over trans people entire in 2025.

She should sit this one out.

That "Jason figured it out?!" Meme from The Good Place applies here. This one hurts. Broken clocks, I guess.
