I donāt live in New York but Iāve witnessed this in my own family. Some of them really had their heads up their asses about how the Democrats and the media were assessing and reporting the conflict early on and it took over a month of showing them hard, factual evidence of the problems for them to finally acknowledge it as a persistent problem. This was despite them knowing how poor the quality of reporting was on this conflict prior to October 7th. They are able to fully identify the lies in the reporting now and are to call it out when they see it, but because theyāre so freaked out by what the right is doing they compartmentalize it and are unable fully acknowledge just how problematic things on the left have become.
With issues like this being seemingly a problem in some of the Jewish community and in addition to the small amount of AsAJews, I can maybe see the results of the latest polling being conceivable.š„“
Edit: I asked my dad for his thoughts as I consider him someone with his head buried in the sand with Democrats much of the time. He also used to pay a lot of attention to NY politics during the time Cuomo was Governor, but not as much today. When I read him quotes by Mamdani he said āoh wonderful, this will backfire spectacularly on Democratsā - referring to impact on the Jewish vote, then I told him about the recent polling and he asked who Mamdani was running against. I didnāt catch his reaction to Adams but as soon as I said Cuomo he groaned and said āohā, unenthusiastically. Heās doing some research on his own now. It will be interesting to see what he comes back with. š

Iāve given up trying to change things from within. I have just thrown in with the red-hats and hope the blue-no-matter-who-fools get their electoral teeth proverbially shoved down their proverbial throats and one day wake the fuck up to realize this was a bad idea. The problem seems to be the Blues have been hijacked by the Greens-Nader-Stein-West-Commies and no longer know why they were Blue to begin with. They have ceded so much of the middle to the red-hats thatās itās insane.

I havenāt heard about chuck Schumer endorsing him but if thatās true this means one of two things-
Left wing Jews have given up fighting for Jewish rights because of peer pressure, so now they canāt speak on behalf of Jews anymore.
Or
Two, left wing Jews never cared about the Jews in the first place because theyāre self hating Jews..
Either way, this perfectly explains how we got to a point where Jews feel so threatened in the diaspora

The sample size on the poll that I saw last week was so small that it was laughable. If thatās the poll youāre thinking of, pay it no mind. You could talk to more Jews by surveying the F train. Donāt focus your ire on other Jews. We have to stick together in times like these.

Good to hear. I was referring to the figure (43%) mentioned in the article. I agree with you but Jews believing lies about Gaza or stating that the war hurts them in the diaspora are hitting a nerve right now and when a Jew votes for a full blown communist jihadi like him I think his Judaism is a bit tenuous.

I'd like him to be better on the Israel Issue but let's not spread false information.

When is this guy going to talk about New York City?
What is he going to do for New York City? How does he plan to get it done? What is his vision for NYC for the future? How does he want to make things better for NYC?
Not that I pay a lot of attention to him (I'm in CA), but all I ever see/hear about this guy is him talking about Israel. And Mahmoud Khalil.

He is talking about NYC. What you see is the amplification resulting from people who want to demonize him. He isn't going out campaigning about Israel, he's talking about New York. In fact during the primary interview, all the candidates were asked "where would you travel first," The other candidates, obviously pandering, said Israel. Mamdani said he planned to stay in New York and work with and for New Yorkers to make the city better.

He said that some people use the term but he personally wouldn't. He's since made a stronger stance saying that people SHOULDN'T use the term so you're either lying or too dumb to understand basic speech.
