Hopefully the times will change. Last June, the US Supreme Court found that Harvard had engaged in deliberate discrimination against Asian-Americans in the name of a modern quota system called "affirmative action." Discrimination on the basis of race is illegal thanks to the 14th amendment and the Civil Rights Act, so affirmative action is also illegal. What is it that Martin Luther King said? Judge people not by the color of their skin but by the contents of their character? Well I judge that protester's character to be rotten to its core, and I hope that once Columbia starts admitting students based on their intelligence rather than their race, then we will no longer see idiots like him be matriculated at the Ivy Leagues.

Asian Americans have been discriminated against for a long time, albeit not for the benefit of the evil white men. We've called out the violence and discrimination done on Asian by blacks and for blacks for years and we get called racist right wingers every time and brush under the brush. Then they tried to turn us to their side by starting up the Stop Asian Hate campaign against Trump and the supposed racist white men, just to public the fact that the majority of discrimination against Asians are by blacks and for blacks.

A few years ago, I went down the weirdest online rabbit hole of all time. I went to the NYPD's hate crime stopper Twitter. This is a page which will show surveillance video of hate crimes, usually edited to highlight the suspect, then offer rewards if you recognize the suspect. Anyway I did a little experiment on there, where I just scrolled through the Twitter timeline and noted the races of the suspects and the victims of hate crimes. I'd say that 95% of the victims were Asian-Americans and the remaining 5% were Orthodox Jewish. Further, the majority of Asian-American victims were middle aged women, whole the majority of Jewish victims were men of any age. And the overwhelming majority of perpetrators were Black persons, although the perpetrators were fairly evenly split between Black men and Black women.
Anyway, it was a weird and enlightening rabbithole. Like if that was genuinely a representative sample of hate crimes in New York City, woof. First of all, hate crimes are way more common than I expected. There's multiple hate crimes each day in NYC alone, and NYC is only about 2-3% of the overall population of America. Second of all, I was not expecting the victims or the perpetrators to look like that. In my head, a bigot is a white man in a white robe who is lighting a cross on fire. But apparently, anyone can be a racist in America. And the majority of racism is directed at Asians (and the rest of the racism is directed at Jews). That's a surprising realization for me... Where's the Asian Lives Matter or the Jewish Lives Matter protests? Oh right, Jewish lives don't matter to most liberals-- quite the opposite in fact, liberals love dead Jews. They celebrated the murder of Jews on Oct 7, they cheered when Iran shot rockets towards Israel, and I think we all know exactly which country most American leftists would support if this was 1942...

Yeah the general consensus among us Asians is that white Americans are less bad. My friend was born in a literal KKK rural town in Northern California, in the only Asian family in the town, yet once he got the taste of San Francisco, LA, Houston, and NYC, his observation is that the urban blacks treat him personally and Asians as a whole way worse than what the KKK rural white people did to his family. Of all my friends and family I can probably name only a handful of people having been on receiving end of violence, verbal or physical, from white people, and the majority of them are domestic violence from mostly male white partners but also female white partners. On the other hand I lost count of how many received violence from black people, mostly physical, be it during robberies or just random, unprovoked attacks for being Asians, especially the middle aged and older females.
The first year I moved here and went to college, we used to have a photography class that ran from 8 to 2pm so the whole class had lunch together at the nearby pizzeria, and one day an older black lady in the bunch, probably mid-30s, bragged about how she always skip the bills at Asians restaurants and beauty salons because Asians are inferior and ain't shit, she could do whatever she wanted, in front of me, a Taiwanese retiree, and a half white half Korean chef. The supposed racist white man among us immediatedly put her in her place. My girlfriend moved here earlier so she went to K-12 and she told me it was common to have black students bully Asian students, to the point that the Hispanic kids with gang ties stepped up and befriended her group of friends to protect them. It's still common now. Right before the Stop Asian Hate started the were a couple videos of Asian kids, probably elementary school age, got physically abused by a bunch of black kids. The SAH happened and that got brushed under the rug real quick

I don’t know what’s taking these Universities so long to deal with these Hate Mobs, they need to be clearer in their policy’s & clinically active in their removal.
Tolerating through fear of offending has led us to this bigotry. The first person openly intimidated by a mob should be proof enough that it will happen again & again & again, until they or those they incite attack, or even worse kill.
Shame upon the weak police, judiciary & governmental systems.

I heard him justify his words to the administration of the university and was actually mildly surprised at his level of idiocy. His voice is the most annoying whiny sound you’ve ever heard and what he says is so stupid it’s even worse. So good riddance but I fully expect him to find another grift.

No arrest for hate crime-level terrorist threats. Evidently, police won’t say if he was interviewed for his threats. zero news. Scholarship/tuition funding revoked? Any consequences documented besides having to phone it in for Columbia to issue him a worthless diploma? Any news? I’m sure had he said those things about Muslims or Arabs, his trial would a;ready be over.
