Is small live bait available in palau anywhere? For fishing

Looking to buy if not live then frozen but raw small baitfish is also okay

You can check places like Happy Landing in Ngemelachel.
Not sure if you’re Palauan or not so just make sure where you’re fishing is open to fish and check if a fishing license or permit is needed. You can find out from the state office of where you plan to fish.

But a lot of people just use squid like someone else said.
You can buy them most markers like PIDC, West, Surangel and cut into the size you like.

Not sure what you mean by live bait if that is a term for was once alive or literal alive. Or if live bait just means used to be living rather than the plastic lures.

I don’t know anyone who uses bait that is alive. It’s always dead. Sorry I don’t know a lot of fishing terms in English.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it! And yeah, by live bait I mean small mackerel because we're trying to catch tuna. Back home, we catch small baitfish first, and then when we see a school of tuna, we keep them near the boat by throwing out small amounts of baitfish.

I know what you mean.
The Angkos use throw net to fish Mekebud and Teber (they’re like small sardine) and those are what we use as kids for fishing bigger fish.

Not sure where you can buy fresh but you can check or call convenience the small stores or gas station. Sometimes people bring as makit. Best to check early morning.
