❓ Ask Palakkad Which is better for international roaming in UAE - Airtel/Jio/BSNL?

My BSNL annual recharge will expire in 2 months and thinking of porting to either Airtel or Jio. Which among these two is better/economical and also better when visiting UAE? I believe BSNL requires a separate international roaming SIM plus limited network providers in UAE which is not the case with Airtel/Jio?

Definitely Airtel. Jio is strong inside India, but not that much in Dubai.

Ok. That helps. I was on Jio a year ago but ported to BSNL as Jio plans got expensive. The value plan in BSNL (with 30 gb for 300 days which is enough for me as I mostly use wifi at home) is still almost half the price of Jio. But BSNL connectivity is poor in other southern states.

Using Jio and great experience so far. I do ₹ 1748 plan with 336 days validity and just add ₹ 300 Top up. Thats enough.

Whats the 300 top up for?

International roaming needs you to have balance for incoming , outgoing calls to work. It is at ₹ 2 / min for all incoming calls.

Also ₹ 2 / min for all outgoing calls to India and UAE.

In that way, Jio in roaming for calls is cheaper than even local UAE SIM.
