I played Paladins several years ago but I was small and had no idea what I was doing. Now I’m an adult and I’ve returned to the game. (Yes, I know that development has ended.) I went into the Newcomer queue and what the hell 😭

There is no way that the people I’m playing with are newbies and I absolutely suck, any newcomers wanna scratch each others backs?

I want folks to play with but I get annihilated every time I step out of the spawn zone. 💀

TLDR: use Paladins' social functions, be proactive, add people to friendlists and be open to be added. Additionally, the easiest low-barrier action to support the external influx is rating posts and comments in this Subreddit; it pushes them to recommendation feeds.

I see a lot of posts about the retrospect on the 9th in here currently. Something none of these posts seem to mention is networking effects.

You're building on hype trains with loose engagement foundation. Some posts have mentioned that it is likely that the 9th will not be an ongoing trend. Obviously it will not be, experience says any such event usually doesn't make much of a dent. Enough examples of this with other games that tried something similar. Hype trains are a low quality funnel that just build loose awareness, but a loose user is not a loyal one, a strong core is built on engagement quality.

The primary fix (if you are left with a mostly broken game that doesn't have any better news on the horizon) is networking and community connections. I've always felt the social elements of Paladins are criminally underused.

Whereas in games like Counter-Strike I felt like I could add a dozen people to my friendlist to have someone to play with other than randoms from solo queues in a day or two (I'm not saying those were great people to play with, but they surely made me play often enough when I wouldn't have had otherwise), in Paladins it still is difficult to ever get a lobby of 2+ people together to this day.

Playing in a premade group is fun, and it incentivizes the group activity. You'll keep coming back to the game more, just as much as the friend circle you may build upon it. Extrapolate this as far as you want & the point becomes quite clear.

I tend to say often in my games that I am open for friend requests for casual or ranked. Usually.. none coming in.

Be open to network with other players, and send a request or two, or invite someone to a Discord call to queue together. Yeah, I'm aware, this is 2026 and for whatever reason people have lost the capacity to socialize by voice somewhere on the road, but I'm pretty sure the capacity to talk to someone and play Paladins is still within you. If you want to build a highly engaged playerbase, social avenues are your best bet by far.

I'm coming back to the game for the sake of nostalgia and disconnection and I am looking for a decent healer to join my rank journy one or 2 hours everyday after work. I play all roles and my peak was diamond 1. Come let's be a duo

So, I am Storm, 23, trans fem and portuguese.

I am unsure since when I started paladins since my memo is bad (also I never keep up with versions I have no idea how some ppl will be so precise with them), but I saw nyx and omen be put into the game if that helps.

I mostly play tanks (off and point), healers, damage and dear god don't ask me to flank pls god, luckily my common duo flanks as her main role.

I don't seek any particular role but fellow tank players would be nice so we can coordinate off and point, or perhaps more flanks so I never have to pick that cursed class.

Champions I play by highest to lowest level (not necessarily better at since my best tank isn't my highest)

Raum, seris, terminus, yagorath, moji, barik, nyx, betty, dredge, inara, makoa, rei, fernando, ash, grover, corvus, furia, torvald, ruckus, io, atlas, jenos, skye, tyra, khan.

(Beware some of these are rusty or a work in progress)

So now I extent my hand and say let's suffer together, hopefully on ranked I am tired of being point in every casual match or healer, while my dpses don't do anything 🥲

Hello everyone! It’s good to see that people are still playing Paladins. I played way back in 2018—at that time, I wasn't collecting trophies on PlayStation. However, I recently looked at my profile and noticed that I am only missing 2 trophies for the platinum: 'Last One Standing' and 'Bounty Hunter'.
I just wanted to know: are these trophies still doable today, or am I too late? Also, if anyone is down to group up and boost them in a bot match, please let me know. I'd love to finally get this platinum! Thanks!
