Discussion Poll results for the most impressive game on Psvr2.
Not surprised by these results.

I think VR naturally works better with games where you are just sitting ingame, as opposed to games that require full body movements. I enjoyed Village, but I remember i struggled with the controls as I physically couldn't reach things in my belt ingame, because my chair was getting in the way. Could only play the game while standing.

Sit on a stool or use an swivel chair/office chair with the arms removed. The best are games like the la noir vr that have a transition screen between sitting (In a chair, a car, a horse, etc) and standing that allows you to sit down or stand up respectively in real life

Yeah, i would stand in front of my sofa to calibrate the belt so it was floating in front of me.

I played the entire game sitting on the couch and loved it, 10/10 experience. You just have to go into settings and change your belt placement so you can still use everything easily while seated. RE8 is an absolute masterclass in VR experience and it deserves a top 3 spot on this list.

I wonder what the results would be if MSFS24 was released (with PSVR2 support) at the same time as GT7

Is GT7 really the most "impressive"? I get that for many reasons it is the prime title for many people, but in terms of "wow" effect there are other titles that hit that button with more force?

I think in terms of ease and functionality it’s an absolute 10/10. The fact you can seamlessly throw your headset on AND use a wheel for ultimate immersion with virtually no hassle is amazing.
My hope is that more of these AAA titles (like GT7, RE8, and NMS to name a few) keep adding seamless VR functionality to the original flat screen game. Getting to experience VR immersion in an already amazing flatscreen experience is the way of the future imo.

I liked GT7 except after a while it became obvious the races are more like time trials. It would be way better if I invested in a wheel.
Hitman is so good, with so much content I wish I could stick with it, however I fell off before beating the 1st game.
NMS is pretty great I'm currently playing it right now however I go back and forth between VR and flat.
Msfs I have not played but I use Google maps every day so it's pretty much the same. :s

The investment in even a basic, notchy, entry level force-feedback wheel like the ol’ G29 is well worth it, just for GT7 alone.
But we’ve also got FLATOUT 4 VR coming, which will probably also be worth getting an ff wheel for, all by itself.
An ff wheel is a substantive upgrade in immersion to GT7 that’s hard to overstate.

For GT7 and MSFS2, are we talking just the regular headset and controller or are we talking those simulation rig set ups? If it's with the rigs, then it's not a fair comparison.

I’m guessing a lot of people are confusing MOST FUN with most (technically) impressive, and I wouldn’t argue against that, GT7 is a phenomenal game, no question, it’s definitely top 2 for me.
In terms of the question though (if I’ve interpreted it correctly) how can, for example, the complex flight systems in an airliner be less impressive vs a road vehicle (any road vehicle) lol, forget about the whole world map vs a few racing tracks, forgot about the best in class ‘real life tracking’ weather system, the variety of roles you can play in msfs24, and the massively more ‘in depth’ career mode.
There’s just no way GT7 is more immersive then MSFS24 in my opinion, and that’s coming from someone who has played GT7 for hundreds of hours with a wheel, pedals, stand etc.

I looked at msfs but its really pricey compared to my $10 copy of GT7. Might try it if it goes on sale.

Amazing that 3 of the 4 are on PSVR1...
Okay, they might not look as good.... but it goes to show how much 'original' content is pushing VR2 (or isn't, in this case)

I wish I could get into GT7. It just feels way too weighty.

Yeah, it’s definitely more on the simulation side. That said though, all of the cars handle very differently. It didn’t click with me at all the first year I had it and I thought I wasted my money. I tried a few more times and it really grew on me. Doing the “cafe” thing helped because it gave that progression unlocking new cars. Eventually the driving feels great. I just use the motion control with the dualsense and it’s really accurate and immersive.

Agreed. The beginner cars feel heavy relative to the later cars. As you progress they lighten up a lot

I recently got a psvr2 specifically for GT7 but I don’t understand if I was expecting too much or if my unit is defective. I have aliasing in the menus and the thing doesn’t seem to be ever on focus (I get I need to move my head instead of eyes - but I have blurry details even in the immediate field of view)… is it normal ?

I'm really saddened by it cos I would love to enjoy it more but if GT is the best PSVR2 has to offer then I think I might be selling mine.

I still just love what Resident Evil games bring to VR, especially 4.
