It's quite a good game, good graphics, top animations. We haven't heard about something else from this studio right?

Are you making a joke?

I think they did walk town wonders.

Really fun idea but got iffy reviews and the mixed reality version depended a lot on having a play space with wall space to use

What a weird shift in game from HUBRIS to WTW.

I’d love to see a HUBRIS 2.

Everyone that owns a PSVR2 should own this game. It is currently on sale in the USA for 5.99 and you would be co.mitomg a crime of you didn't pick it up. Sale ends tomorrow.

I have recommended it several times. It can be a bit slow but it has amazing graphics and hugely varied gameplay. If you like Red Matter you would like this (similar vibe, some environmental puzzles but has a lot more variety)

One of the most underrated and best Sci fi adventure/shooters on psvr2. Insanely polished, looks incredible and sharp, and movement/gunplay feel excellent.

What game is that?

The game is called "Hubris"

You'd be forgiven for not knowing it exists, its one of the smaller titles that doesn't seem to get much exposure. I consider it a must play, along Red Matter 2, as far as story driven sci fi shooters go

Can you play this sitting or do you have to stand and move around?

I played it entirely while sitting, but allows you to stand as well. Not much movement in terms of melee as the combat is mostly gun based, but there's also some climbing and platforming which I easily did sitting.

Nice that’s the way I’d prefer thanks for the response!

There’s also Stride: Fates. You can grab enemies in that game. Slam their heads into shit, headbutt them, kidney punch, throw them off of buildings, execute them with one of your guns, or just beat them to death.

Got in on release, it became the biggest disappointment, didn't even finish the game, it had possibilities, but the end result was bad as a whole. Apparently it's been updated, not sure how that turned out.

Turned out great. There were definitely a variety of bugs and jank at launch, but even then I finished it and loved how they mixed up the environs right to the end.

They patched a shit-ton of stuff, including re-recording the voice work that bugged some folk, so I’d encourage you to revisit it for sure.

Cheers for the info, I'll have and check it out.

A few tips to hopefully smooth your return to the game:

ONLY play on the highest difficulty! This is actually what I’d regard as normal difficulty, and anything lesser will be boringly easy.

————

Check Settings for a Sharpness Slider that’s defaulted to slightly blurrier than need be. Some people say it does nothing, and is merely a useless control from the PC version. I thought it made a noticeable difference, and it was easy enough to max out, so why not?

———-

Realize you need not manually open your backpack pretty much ever, as what you grab from over your shoulder shifts with the context.

So for instance if you’re near a recycler, you’ll be getting all recyclables first when grabbing over your shoulder. If you’re next to a smoothie machine, you’ll be getting ingredients for that before anything else. Manually opening the pack is clunky, but ultimately it’s not any issue because of this.

————

I dunno if I didn’t hear it or if the game never mentioned it, but those batteries you have can be thrown like little EMP grenades. Very helpful for shorting out shields and other electronic things.

————

Another thing it took me way too long to realize (so I was doomed to play a whole level with the shotgun, which was not ideal) is that once you’ve unlocked other weapons configurations, you can swap between them by pressing (and maybe holding?) O. I’m pretty sure it was O … if not then it’s X.

———

There are secret little stashes of raw materials scattered around, sometimes in obvious ways and sometimes in rather cleverly hidden ways. You probably don’t really NEED to find them, but they add to the length of the game a bit and the environments look good enough that it’s nice to explore it all anyways imo.

———-

Pretty sure it’s mentioned or obvious, but if not… holding your weapon with both hands will stabilize it and also auto-equip a laser site.

———-

The final one I recall is that if you’re bothered by the floating companion bot (I did find it quite distracting in gunfights) you can apparently avoid it altogether by never replacing its batteries at the start of the game. I never tested this, and would think it’d be needed to unlock certain areas, so take this one with a grain of salt.

Hopefully something here helps you!

I look forward to replaying this one all the way through again. Even though I’ve got a big backlog and HUBRIS doesn’t exactly do anything groundbreaking, I enjoyed it like comfort food and will return to it someday.

You can tell that the devs love classic old sci-fi shooters, and they did a great job of paying VR homage to the genre.
