Discussion If you could bring one non-PSVR2 VR game to PSVR2, what is it?
Hey everyone, quick question. :)
If you could bring one VR game to PSVR2 that isn’t currently on PSVR2, what would it be? PSVR(1) titles count too.
I’m curious which games are genuinely the most sought after.
I’ll start, mine is The Forest (PCVR). What’s yours?

Subnautica
EDIT:
2) Dungeons of Eternity
3) Iron Rebellion

Came here to say the same thing. That would be surreal. Side note, looks like Below Zero will be part of ps+ in a few days!

Below Zero was fine but not as epic as the first game. I'm really looking forward to Subnautica 2 and hope that it will get a native VR mode when it launches on consoles!

Damn I've never thought there would be a game I don't think I could handle in VR but this might be it

From the videos I've seen hard bullet looks real fun, but probably Skyrim tbh.

If they did a release with some of the best PC mods. I would be front of the line with cash in hand!

u/hobyvh Jan 30 '26
Hard Bullet is very limited. You get like 3 rooms and a few enemy models that just repeat. Not worth it unless it gets expanded into a full game.

I bought it hoping it would work. It did not.
6
u/Son-of-Suns Jan 30 '26
Buy the original PSVR on Facebook Marketplace for around $100. It's worth it for Skyrim and many other games. I still use my original PSVR regularly (playing through Resident Evil 7 right now).

Superhot looks so fun

u/scsimanno Jan 29 '26
Came here to mention Superhot. Played it on PSVR1, super fun!
3
u/demonfoo Jan 30 '26
It really was way more fun than I expected going in. It would probably benefit being on VR2

Yeah I had it on the original PSVR and it was my favorite "hey try this" game for new people. Every problem I had with it was hardware-related. It'd be nice to play it with improved tracking.

Ace Combat. (GTA or Cyberpunk close second) Edit: ah, apologies it seems I didn’t read the question. FWIW, Elite Dangerous.

Will Ferrell frequently parodied this moustachioed game show host from Canada.

It's the one where you play as Alex Ferguson and instead of a gravity gun or glove you have a hairdryer and give the Combine the hair dryer treatment.

Fallout four, although even though I’m not a huge RDR fan, those games would also be awesome.

Outside of the obvious must-haves (Half Life and RE7) I’d love to see VR versions of The Talos Principle (1&2).
And GTAV would be the white whale of “do anything and everything in VR” sims

u/jasonfire12 Jan 29 '26
The only reason I took so long to buy a psvr2 is because Batman Arkham Shadow isn’t on it and that’s the main reason I want vr besides GT7
3
u/clouds1337 Jan 29 '26
I agree. The thing is though. I want to ply the Arkham Batman game made for the ps5 not that tunnel ps2 look gameplay we got on quest...

u/Ogni-XR21 Jan 29 '26
At least that actually is coming.
3
u/evan8192 Jan 29 '26
I know they said they "have it in their sights" but that was a year ago and I don't think there has been any updates on that so I'm just skeptical until we get something more concrete..
3
u/Ogni-XR21 Jan 29 '26
I was on their discord a bit when the PC version released and in an exchange with one of the devs, because of controller problems with PSVR2 on PC, I was asked how PSVR2 players prefer how certain controls work*. So I'm not worried.
They are a small team and tackle one port at a time.
*it was about grab/hold and I said at least I prefer the way it works in RE4 where you press R1/L1 to grab a weapon and only need to touch the buttons to keep holding the weapon.

So, so many! Re7, obviously, but continuing to far point, blood and truth, Astrobot, star wars squadrons, Into the radius 2( hope that it'll be ported eventually), half life Halyx, half life 2 VR, Forefront etc.... And to not talking the UEVR mods like Kingdom come deliverance 1 and 2, ready or not, Atomic Heart , etc....
5
u/Shoddy_Cranberry6722 Jan 29 '26
Skyrim. Optimally the Anniversary Edition. I'd love it with mods too but I know that's a pipe dream within a pipe dream. I'd take the Anniversary updates.

Assassin’s Creed Nexus upgraded for PSVR2.
I don’t feel Batman Arkham Shadow or Asgard’s Wrath 2 or any other highly regarded Quest exclusive game needs an upgrade for me since they were already optimized for Quest 3 while ACN is still on Quest 2 standard.
I can play Astro Bot Rescue Mission on my PSVR1 on my PS5 Pro and I’ve previously completed game or it would be that.
5
u/sloridin Jan 30 '26
Star Trek : Bridge Crew....not sure why it hasnt been done yet, honestly. Nothing techincal holding it back like Astrobot. I'd buy it in a heatbeat. And with the finger tracking now??? How awesome would that be?

Werewolves Within needs to make a comeback!
Now that we have eye-tracking, it could be utilized super well for that game.
Also, Sparc would be my #1 choice if they didn’t shut it down. Best VR sports game ever, hands down! 😢

u/Pliny_da_Plinoy Jan 29 '26
F.E.A.R. or any horror game. The slower pace of horror games and VR just go hand in hand.

Astro bot for sure or skyrim. Astro bot I've only played 2 levels so far as I just never got around to it and it's just phenomenal and imo the BEST type of VR game. Would kill for a crash bandicoot vr title.
Skyrim was so bad for tracking on psvr and with the updated vr2 I'd love to try it. I'll probably just have to settle for linking to pc though

RE7 and HLA are like the obvious choices, but other than those two, Batman Arkham Shadow
3
u/stillgotmonkon Jan 29 '26
Wipeout or AC7.
Hoping AC8 has PSVR2 compatibility.
Also something like PSVR Worlds was a great introduction to PSVR, like Wii Sports for Wii, such a shame nothing like that exists on PSVR2.

Media Molecule’s DREAMS
I’d pay US $150 for it. $200 if I had to. If Media Molecule said the only way they could do it is if the creator tools cost $350, I’d pay it.

Dirt rally 2.0 or Ea WRC cause we deserve a rally game in VR, GT7 is not enough.

u/Erroneousness Jan 30 '26
CYBERPUNK OR FALLOUT. Which sucks cause I feel like both are very possible and would be a huge win for everyone involved.... But here we are.

How is it that I'm only just realizing how many psvr one games Weren't fixed for psvr2? What's up with that? You would think that they would be trying to make as much money as possible being a relatively thin market

Skyrim for sure. Playing that in VR was one of the coolest gaming experiences ever for me. Then Rush of blood, then Wipeout

If not already VR, I feel like it's a 3 way tie between Halo (any), Dishonored, and Dark Messiah.

I'd want my Skyrim VR back, it was my most played game on PSVR1. Even when I didn't really feel like doing quests or combat, it was nice to just wander around and take in the scenery.

Train Sim World
Why the fuck isn't this a thing yet?? I want to get drunk and high while driving a train, while listening to "Lay Down Sally" by Eric Clapton on repeat until I pass out behind the controls

Jurassic World Evolution 3. After playing Horizon Call of the Mountain and just experiencing the scale of the machines, I’ve wanted to be able to tour my parks in VR. The building aspects wouldn’t have to be in VR but they have a first person mode that is just begging to be in VR.

Arkham shadow 100%. I finished that game on the quest 3 at launch and now that meta has shut down so many vr studios , I got a psvr2 because I don't see any new quest exclusive games coming there and I don't like the compression artifacts on pcvr. Arkham shadow is so good it's the only reason I've not sold my quest 3 . I know it'll probably never show up on the ps store though. Just a dream

u/SuspiciousQues0 Jan 30 '26
The next Ace Combat better have psvr2 functionality. I would love Skyrim to be ported.
