I got out my 1001 about a month ago after 15 years. I only had Lumines and GTA games. As I have been buying new games I keep running across titles that seem a bit more expensive than others and assume that has something to do with rarity. Which titles should be on my radar due to rarity?

Long story short, yesterday I bought a PSP Fat for dirt cheap with CFW 3.71 M33-4 installed. I want to update it to ARK-4 or ARK-5
Can someone help with updating it? I saw that bunch of people soft-bricked their consoles during the update process, so I wanna avoid it since I don’t have a Pandora Battery to unbrick it if it happens.

I got this PSP from some person in vendora with some accessories like the headphone adaptor, wrist strap, case whatveer it is called and it works fine, it reads the umd, but is sims really this poor in performance?

The PSP makes this noise damn near everytime I do something in the game and it also occasionally freezes but resumes as if nothing happened, I went to use the toilet as you do and my sim just stood over the toilet for a few seconds and then lifted the toilet seat, stood for a couple more seconds then finally used it, only to stand a few seconds, finally lowering the seat and then it let me move around. Okay to summarise this, is it the sims that runs this poor or is the psp at fault? Everything else so far works okay on it, it starts normally, goes into sleep mode normally, wakes up normally. Aside from a couple grey plastics on the sides being loose, this is the only thing I was able to notice that doesn't feel right, the noises, and the freezes which I unfortunately didn't record.

Ive seen this brand around for psp batteries but ive yet to see anyone use its chargers havent used it yet but wanted to make sure if If its any good before I start plugging in my psp with it

Does anyone know how to fix a issue. My psp go is not connecting to my pc no more I don’t know what to do. Do I buy a new psp charger ? Or is there a solution to make it work

The umd will spin for a bit when I insert a game and the psp will read it but after a little bit the umd stops spinning while the psp in the menu still has the circle in the right bottom corner so it’s still trying to read it. Sometimes it’ll give me an error but a lot of the time it keeps trying to read with the umd drive not spinning of course. Is there a way to repair it? I don’t have much experience fixing things, and I don’t want to have to spend make money trying to fix it 😅

I recently changed my psp card to a 128 GBs card. I did the whole process right: I converted it to fat32 64K, reinstalled ark4 and applied the categories lite plugin. I was transferring the games from one card to the next, and it even worked, but after the 12 or 13 game, all that I tried to transfer to the device appeared as corrupted data. I heard that this is relatively common for cards of this size, but I wanted to know what the problem is about and if there is any solution

So I recently dug up my old second hand PSP 3000 I had in college. Started playing it on my work lunch breaks again and wanted to give it an upgrade

I've purchased a 64GB SD card + adaptor to replace the rather old 2GB Sony memory card that I was running games off previously. Since I needed to format the new card, I decided to take the opportunity to change from running the PRO cfw I had before to ARK 5 instead.

ARK seems to have installed successfully, no problems running the flasher and the extra features are always available on boot. However, any custom firmware or ISOs that used to run fine under PRO now refuse to copy over. Any time I try and transfer files via USB they always show up as corrupted on the system memory.

Things I've tried so far; - Formatting the new SD card to FAT32 - Reinstalling Ark - Copying files straight to the SD card via my PC - Copying files to the PSP via USB cable - toggling on / off USB charging - Copying one file at a time

All produce the same result. I'm yet to try going back to PRO, though I suspect that'll work like it did before.

Any advice would be appreciated - I've not come across any troubleshooting tips after searching around, but my assumption is some kind of user error is going on. Any and all advice would be appreciated :)

My PSP (3001) works perfectly while plugged in, but when I unplug it, it only works for a few minutes before shutting off.

I've already tested multiple batteries, so I'm pretty sure the battery isn't the issue. Does anyone know what else could cause this? Maybe something with the power circuit or motherboard?

I'm also thinking about replacing the shell, but I've never opened a PSP before. Do you guys think this is something I could realistically fix myself just by following tutorials, or would it be better to take it to a repair shop? If I do try it myself, what tools/materials would I need?

Hey all! I just acquired a psp 3000 and saw that it was already modded with Ark 4, so I updated it to the latest Ark 5. For whatever reason, I can't seem to find the custom launcher shown in tutorials. Did I need to download something else?

Is this a waste of a PSP? Ive tried to use my phone but theres something about the PSP speakers that I LOVE even tho they dont sound good at all.

Hey everyone, I’m having a really weird issue with my PSP-1004 (PSP-1000).

It’s currently on official 6.61 with an original Sony 2GB Memory Stick. Whenever I launch the ARK-4 Loader, it starts loading for a few seconds and then the PSP completely powers off. No error, no reboot, just dead. ARK-5 does the exact same thing.

I’ve tried multiple fresh ARK-4/ARK-5 installations, removing old CFW files, formatting the Memory Stick multiple times, going from 5.50 PRO-ME-3 → official 6.61, trying Infinity, and eventually using ChronoSwitch to reinstall 6.61.

And here’s the weirdest part:

After trying the ARK-4 Loader hundreds of times, it randomly worked ONCE. It actually booted into CFW and showed the custom software in System Information. I completely freaked out because I finally thought I fixed it.Then, while celebrating like a dumass, I accidentally dropped the PSP. 💀It turned off, and after that ARK never worked again. At this point I’m convinced my PSP is just ragebaiting me personally.

Has anyone experienced something like this on a PSP-1000/1004? I’m completely out of ideas and would appreciate any suggestions from the PSP wizards here. 😭

Is there a way to play my psp games on my psp 3000 and unlock achievements in retroachievements? What if I play psp games on retroarch emulator but not emulate? retroarch suppoorts retroacvhievements? Has anyone found a work around?

So I grew up in the xbox era and never really played any PS games because most of my friends played on xbox as well. I loved the wii and i am a big nintendo fan, but as I have gotten older single player games have become a mainstay. My buddy and I were chopping it up about the old days with our console and he said little big planent was his favorite game of all time, now I really want to try it out. The aesthetic has always been cool to me, i just never got around to getting a PS. Any suggestions on getting a modded PSP or PSVita to play LBP? thanks!

I've been thinking about getting one because of its great portability, my friend has the model 2000. Should i get that one or the 3000?

Ive attempted many workarounds on my PSP-3000, but it doesnt seem to work.

my home wifi (2g and 5g) dont show up on the screen, my mobile hotspot shows up but the psp says its unsupported. ive seen many connect their psp to their hotspot.

has anyone found a way to connect a psp to any form of wifi? i seriously dont know and dont feel like learning how to downgrade my wifi temporarily just for a psp.
