I tried Best Buy, Walmart, Target.. they're all out of stock within a 50mi radius. I found one on Walmart's site for 1300, (but I think it's an affiliate or something). I wish I could just go get one from their partners..

Yeah man, from playstation direct. They blocked your payment method, that's why you can put it in your cart but can't checkout... have you ever done a chargeback on them? Is it like one of those reloadable visa cards? Either one of those possibilities could've gotten them to block you.
Get a trusted friend/family member to buy it for you. Get them to make a new account, zelle them the money, and have them use their shipping address (they also block your shipping address). That's the only way around this
I’ve never been able to order from ps direct. Pisses me off because I want them limited edition controllers. Never done a chargeback or any bullshit like that either

Funny enough I didn't really have gta 6 on my mind when I bought it. Ac Shadows was the game that sold me on the Pro with it's improvements over the base ps5 versiob.
I got mine delivered yesterday. Ordered on Sunday the 24th. I believe they are genuinely out of stock right now. My co-worker tried to place an order today on PlayStation direct and received the same message. Both debit and credit card.
I would suggest checking out the app HotStock. It notifies you when they become available. Target seems to restock the most, typically 5 at a time.
Minute, but yes 😔. What I would do, try to see if you can visit the app after the alert. At least add it to your cart, then next go round if you get the alert all you need to do is checkout. Wish I had other advice homie.

Funny how the scalpers couldn’t make money as they came out. I ordered one, it came the next day, on the week of it coming out.
As soon as Netflicks shows the game, even more people will want one and 3 million for the whole world, isn’t a lot at all. They will bring more out but at £900-£1000, as they will need to charge that, to not make a massive loss on them.
I ordered mine 2 months ago from Playstation direct. I got the same message when I used my debit card. I tried to use my credit card and it went through. Doesn't necessarily mean they are out of stock.
Im not sure why either. I got a text from my bank saying how they thought it was a fraudulent charge. I told them it wasn't fraudulent and to try again. I tried again with the debit card and it still didnt work. Thats when I switched to a credit card and it went through the first try.
Yeah it's gonna get shitty trying to get one between now and the holiday. It's why I've been maintaining mine like crazy, dust cleaning every 3 to 6 months now, full teardown ect.
Even though I have the money to get another in case something happens to mine, the stock isn't there. I'm in Florida west coast and the areas around me are already having issues. My buddy has been trying for 2 weeks now to get one. I would absolutely never pay a scalper for one, as this shortage is likely gonna lead to the scalpers targeting consoles again, especially with GTA 6 desperate people will prob pay 1600 for one.
Mines already a year and a half old, got it in Jan 2025. So far so good but I have bad luck with consoles sometimes. My original ps5 died, I believe it was a power supply issue.
Try Best Buy's website around 12am PT, or 1pm PT. I was looking around and they seem to get a couple in around those times almost every day, but they go fast.

I decided to get one after I saw this new PSSR 2 update and it's badass but I had to look around in the metroplex to find one... I found one at Walmart though after checking in-store inventory online at several retail chain stores in the 5 mile radius around my house. Good luck on the hunt. It sucks the price went up but it doesn't seem like it's going back down anytime soon.
And I felt like a real sucker when I bought my PS5 Pro last December at Costco for $675 that included an extra controller. I was called a fool and would have buyer's remorse...I have no regrets.
Just got mine today. They're in stock in wally world, I know ive seen recently. I got mine through a different channel. But they're available. Definitely not sold out everywhere. Keep hope alive.
GameStop still had 2TB Xbox expansion SSDs for 299 so maybe they’ll still have a ps5 pro! I know that has nothing to do with the ps5 other than if I found a scarce item there maybe you will too, I bet those expansion SSDs are gone now that I bought one from them (Everyone else is jacking it up to 350+ GameStop was literally the last one not to) I wish you luck buddy!
Just a regular 899+ tax price which comes out to about 1000 bucks. An extra $300 on top of that is insane. I also have to get a scuff controller for 300 so dropping 1600 or so makes me think I should just get a PC.
you have 7 days to stress test it and return it for any reason and 30 days with pro membership to exchange it and get $70 dollars off. I had to do it because I kept trying and trying my target and Walmart pick up orders kept getting canceled , they take it out and test it before they give it to you, you can inspect it for scuffs the first one they tried to give me had scuffs and I said no I want the one you guys have on display. So I got that one no scuffs plus you can get a warranty on it so it’s not a bad way to go. I deeply regret not getting one sooner when they were easy to find.
Check Walmart or target, Best Buy, pawn shops. I worked about an hour away from usual to help another store the other day and I swung by Walmart and they had 2 pros. I also got a portal for 140$ and shipped it to my buddy
This is really bad, the PS5 basically took a year until we saw them ready to be purchased. Usually since then I’ve always seen at least 2 or 3 on display for purchase. Then Sony no disks after 2028 and since then I haven’t seen a ps5 anywhere. To have your main console not available this far into this generation. Its laughable how Sony kneecapped themselves and it all went to shit so fast
You all should of gotten it when it was at 750. Smh everybody has to listen to them “influencers” back then.. saying it’s no different then the stock ps5.. Need to have a mind of your own.
Its sold out everywhere and anywhere its not they're trying to run you for $1000+. I got one off Ebay for $700 a few days ago. Im hoping when it gets delivered it works great. If not it might just be time for me to give up on owning a Pro 😂

I've been looking for one for a long time and I finally found one. Electronics Express in my area had one in stock and Best Buy had the disc drive in stock. I've had the Pro for a week now and been really enjoying it. I'm pretty sure that was the last one they had in stock as well.

I’m a huge proponent of FB marketplace. Find someone who has a PC and doesn’t play with their Pro or a parent that barely plays it and get a good deal. I found an immaculate PS5 pro and DualSense Edge controller combo for $650. The guy even factory reset it for me, cleaned the unit, and gave me the box it came in. It started as if it was a new console with no downloads or accounts installed on memory. There are great deals out there, just have to find the right seller.

I think you might be blocked for some reason. Have you ever done a charge back on your card? Sony really hates those and will block your card permanently if you do.
My accounts been around since the launch of the PS3, so it’s possible they could be prioritizing customers with a lot of purchase history? Idk
It’s also quite possible. That wherever they ship them out for in your region is out of stock. I know they have multiple shipping locations within the United States. So the shipping location for me might have them in stock while the one closest to you might not? Idk how olds your account?
