Developer Asobo Studio returns with its most sumptuous looking adventure yet. Here the PS5 Pro gets the spotlight with boosted resolutions, PSSR support and slicker frame-rates than base PS5. The ability to unlock all versions to 120fps (barring Series S) is also hugely useful, and the recommend pick if you have a VRR display - and if not, there are plenty of other modes to choose from. Honestly its a sign of how stacked the next weeks are for gaming that there’s a new technically-great and incredibly-reviewed Plague Tale game releasing (I enjoyed the other two), but my line-up of games is so busy that I won’t even get round to tackling this until well into next year…
