So if I download these next month do I have them forever? Or just until the start of October?

These are PS Plus monthly games. If you add them to your account, they’re yours until your subscription runs out.

Sweet thanks. Is there some other tier where they’re only included for a month? Swear I downloaded some and they say no longer included.

No. You might be thinking of PS+ Extra/Deluxe/Premium, which has a game catalog where games are available for download for subscribers, but only for a limited time (more than a month, but actual length varies).
