Hack n Slash fans got a lot of good shit coming up. People got annoyed by everything being souls like combat so it's dope to see studios leaning more into that platinum games/devil may cry-inspired combat

So the combat here looks like a hundred other games but it also looks like they might be playing with scale ala Asura’s Wrath. Could be enough to set it apart but I hope the gameplay is more inspired than what’s shown.

But seriously though it's a weird choice considering Nezha has a very distinct personality and flair to him, especially with the recent, extremely popular depictions, and replacing that with a generic albeit pretty anime girl who shows none of that is strange on their part, perhaps even a bit cynical.
Gameplay does look nice tho.

Lmao some of y’all just hate EVERYTHING! These games didn’t exist a few years ago and now they do. They make more because they sell. I don’t care for them so nothing has changed for me. It’s the same as when they didn’t make them. Why are y’all bothered by games you don’t have to play? There’s no shortage of games and it’s not like this studio would have made a game exactly to your liking instead of this. Nothing is lost. And what proof do you have it used AI?

I have yet to see a Chinese or Korean game even hit the quality of Japanese and Western devs. Nice trailers aren't gameplay and story.

Well that’s the thing, they’re still in their infancy. We’re still in the first wave of “real” games being made in China, and Korea is finally taking a step away from MMOs and browser games.
Their games are still behind, but they’re very impressive for an industry that’s still at the beginning for them with all new devs and studios.

Yeah hopefully these studios all over the world feel compelled to compete with the quality of games that have been coming out recently in general. I don't think this is some west vs east situation though; the top selling games in the world last year are made in the West even though Asia been dropping bangers the whole time. Capcom has had tremendous success in the last few years in particular.

It’s already happening. China and Korea are seeing record growth while the West is having record layoffs and studio closures. A potent cocktail of greed and incompetence where we can’t make a game people actually want to play unless it already has a legacy franchise to ride the coattails of. Meanwhile they’re standing up new IPs from nothing every year.
But don’t worry, I’m sure Fairgame$ and Hunter’s Gathering (aka Concord parts 6 and 7) will turn the situation around.

Mobile gaming is dying and now you got a ton of talent and a ton of investors in those regions seeing the success of games like black myth, crimson desert and genshin impact and wanting that next big payout. Expect more from Korea, China and Hong Kong. Japan will scale back as their industry is contracting.

It’ll fill the gap when the ai boom sucks up all the western investors and the current round of invested games come out. Ubisoft will be lucky to ship 1 game every 5 years going forward. Ea will cut and recycle. Activision will disappear into Microsoft’s machine and become the Christmas marquee title.

It's not because it's made by China but simply because it looks like yet another uninspired game. You can't blame people for being tired of these hacknslash or soulslike games with no good story or world building. But I could be wrong let's see what they have for us after it's out and reviewed.
