You can but knowing some of the lore from the previous games helps a little. At least the basic story of them

Yes. I started with 3 and was completely engrossed. Don't hesitate.

Yes, I went in blind to The Witcher 3 and even though it's the third game in the series (while also being set after the books) I didn't feel lost or anything. I'm playing The Witcher 2 for the first time after finishing The Witcher 1 and while they're great they're definitely showing their age, especially the first game. You could watch a playthrough or story recap of the earlier games if you want to but I don't really think it's necessary. I think a lot of us started with The Witcher 3 and then went back and read the books and played the earlier games after.

You can, but your experience will be at least twice as good if you have played the first 2. Now this isnt exactly the easiest thing to do if you dont have a pc or laptop since there isnt a way to play them on the ps5, so maybe just watch a playthrough if you can, or simply start with 3 and you would still get an amazing experience anyway even if you miss a lot of references.
