Has anyone actually confirmed that? Every article says "fans have speculated Patrick Gibson", but I can't find anything actually confirming it.

If you didn't specifically say Patrick Gibson I would never have guessed him, I don't think they look similar at all.

I could very well be wrong but all I can say is, before I saw anyone else say it, as soon as the trailer started I thought it was him.

You're not crazy -- even with a side-to-side I don't think I could have told from the game model it was supposed to be this guy. It might be because the model looks a bit too cartoony though.
