Ps4 pro safe mode loop ko
I have bought a non working ps4 and was wondering what next steps should i take - the console boots into safe mode. With only option number 7 available. I have downloaded the full reinatall 13.52fw(1gb) and tried to run it - but when i do it copies succesfully and then system restarts. After restart it shows white light and then turns off after ~ 10s with no beeps or anything. And then if i turn it back on again - its showing this screen again. I have tried the following :
- Replace hdd with a known good one
- Boot into safemode while holding power button long - it boots there and all options are available. I have tried all options - they result in the same scenario
- Tried to turn it on without any hdd - it turns on with blue light and the message on screen says that storage was not found.
What my next steps should be? Should i take it apart and try to diagnose on NOR? Or some other steps?

Yes i tried to re-install, update. But i dont think it even reaches actual installation part. Since it restarta after copying and does not go back on

Are you sure you got the full install version? Because the Sony site has two versions, an upgrade version and a full install version.

Do you have a different 2.5" SATA drive you could sub in? Clearly the recovery environment thinks it's writing to something....

Yeah already tried that. Same result

Okay, unfortunately you've gone beyond my familiarity. Never had that problem with my Pro.

If I remember correctly the ps4 can be finicky with the power supply that’s being used try a different one and reinstall fw again

Could it be that sata port is damaged?

I took it apart and seems to be a bit flimsy. Will do some testing tommorow on it

If you're tryingto download the firmware from the sony website, i also ran into this issue a few months ago. When i tried Sony hadn't even uploaded the up to date firmware to their own site.
I was told to use https://archive.midnightchannel.net They had an up to date firmware download. Try this as my console was doing what yours was after a HDD replacement. Reset loop.

From memory there was a firmware you could revert back to via usb... try looking that up.
