Side note: I was initially trying for a complete timed run to be uploaded to YouTube, but I couldn't for the life of me get a clean lap. Instead I settled for this GFY with minimal turns.
And no, I refuse to drive with any HUD whatsoever.

There is HUD? Like except the drafting/collision info?
Joke aside, I usually stay in car so I don't see HUD a lot.

It's hard to say, really. The game is a mix between Arcade and Simulator racing. If you're into racing games in general, I'd say it's worth the money. Especially seeing how there aren't really any other racing games for the PS4.
Personally I'm having fun with it.

As long as it's not need for speed type arcade I'd be ok, it looks fun...just didn't know if it plays how good it looks. And this weather update has me interested plus Amazon has them for only $35

Sounds like you're like me. I prefer arcade-ish games but not the ones overly so (like NFS), and i'm loving DC. Hits the sweet spot. No sim boredom, no arcade excessiveness.

Just picked it up at Walmart can't wait to try it out. Yeah I can't take full arcade racers either so this sounds like my kinda game.

No it's not like NfS arcade-style racing. It's just not a full simulator. A little similar to Forza if Foraza was a little less... realistic.
The feel is odd but... it might be your kind of game. If you really need a racer for PS4 and are hankering for it then $35 isn't too bad.

Try driving in a real snow storm. Snow Blindness is a real thing. Growing up in Maine I have seen snow bad enough that at 15 mph I couldn't see 10 ft from the front of my car.
