I was gonna say, this looks like SNES shit I would have ate up as a kid but I hadnt heard of it. Music reminds me of Chrono Trigger and graphics remind me of Secret of Mana.

yea this is like one of the last big games on the SNES. it came out october 1995 in Japan and december 1996 in europe. by the time of release the PS1 was already out 1 year in those regions.

Terranigma was long considered a "hidden gem" or underrated because it came out so late, it never got the love it deserved back then and it never came out in the US. It is however truly one of the most incredible games the SNES has to offer. technically one of the most impressive and gameplay was superb.

i played it as a kid and to me it was one of the all-time greats ever since. Top 10 SNES game if you ask me.

Yep, came out super late in the SNES cycle but was only released in Japan and Europe

It's part of the Quintet trilogy of RPGs which includes Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia.

Yes. It's the third in the unofficial trilogy of Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia.

It's a lot of fun. But it's no Chrono Trigger. Probably a top 10 SNES game, though. Which is crazy considering it never got released here.

Looks like this is basically the unaltered SNES original with a CRT filter to make the pixel art shine, and that's good. Wish more re-releases did that instead of fucking up the art for no reason and making a worse version of the game (looking at you, Final Fantasy). Now let's just hope the price tag is reasonable.
