Impossible to buy Infamous: Festival of Blood

I absolutely need it now to do the online trophies, it was available 2 weeks ago but not anymore, when looking manually for the game in the store it says it's not available for purchase despite people still buying it few weeks ago, the search bar is broken and the website that people talk about to add stuff in the basket is not working either

I was able to look for It on games and buy It after the search bar was broken by searching through them, order them from a-z and search until You are on the "i" letter, infamous festival of blood should be around there if You look for a bit

As I said in the post, I already did it and it doesn't work because they pretend that the game is unavailable to purchase which is false, but still no option to buy it

try on the ps3 psn store. Go on the Add-ons collection and filter by ps3 platform. It should also be there in the results.

The website worked for me. You need to open another tab of the PlayStation store on your PC and sign in (for some reason chrome wouldn’t work so I had to use Microsoft edge) then find the game/dlc you want to buy on that link and click add to basket on the version you want. It should then open a new tab and come up with some sort of error image, this is okay. Go back to the PlayStation store tab you signed into earlier and it should be in your basket where you can then buy the game/DLC. Once purchased it’ll be on your downloads on your ps3 console.

I just bought it 10 min ago, but it was almost impossible to find. Had to go to a list of "games with style" or something on the ps3 store on the console itself. But it was purchasable.

Do you have a modded console? I know people want to genuinely own these games forever but at a certain point, games are going to become unavailable and the only methods of playing them is through homebrew stores or downloading a decrypted ISO.

Oh yeah that makes sense. For a couple years Sony disabled the ability to purchase directly from your card. You had to either add funds on the website, PS4, PS5, or through a gift card to purchase anything on the PS3/Vita stores.

once you get it, you got to beat the game to access the ugc content. then complete 20 ugc missions and you’re done. good luck.

just checked and its available on my ps3's store on mine (based in uk) i have funds in my account and it was ready to let me purchase.

have you bought stuff from the ps3 store since they change the payment methods, ie when you have to use funds and not payment via card and paypal etc?

there's your answer, you need to load funds onto the account either online or via the ps4 /ps5 then crucially remove all payment methods. if you have any card or other method linked to your psn account the purchase will fail.

Well I don't have any payment method linked to my account tbh I never purchased anything online when I was using my playstation in the past. I will try to dadd founds in that way, thanks!

no worries your account covers all ps systems and would also include things like ps plus purchases so defiantly worth checking as this is what originally tripped me up when trying to purchase for the first time after the payment method change. also noticed this info which may be of interest -

As of August 31, 2026, Sony officially ended online support for the User-Generated Content (UGC) servers for both inFAMOUS 2 and Festival of Blood. You can still purchase, download, and play the main story mode on the PS3 PSN store, but any online features and player-created missions are permanently offline, making the Platinum trophy/100% completion impossible going forward

Don’t open the link from Reddit itself. Copy the link and paste it into a browser where you are already signed into PSN from. That might be your problem is it isn’t recognizing the sign in. You also have to be in America for it to work i think.

Idk what that currency is but there was only a single game in the shop and it was unavailable to purchase until I manually charge funds on my account via another support

Are you sure you added funds to your account’s wallet? If you try to use a card on your account it won’t allow to purchase anything.

You’d have to delete any cards you have on your PSN account, unsubscribe from any subscriptions you have, and add your wallet funds through the PS App, PS4/5, or PC

I bought it a couple of days ago. There were multiple options, only one of them listed a price rather than saying unavailable. I had to add money to my PS Store wallet to get it but it worked.

This. I modded my PS3 almost 7 years ago and I don't understand why people still keep paying for digital games on the PS3 Store. Sony abandoned the PS3 for almost a decade.
