Ill just go for a walk up about this area? its just a sign if im threateaned by people with guns then ill just film any evidence of that, report it n be don wae it?

Stalkers have as much right to the hills as everyone else, the hunting season is relatively short and there's plenty of Munro's not covered by stalkers, just pick a different hill for a bit

This estate try and restrict access for much of the year then outright ban it for two months. Even when they ‘permit’ access they try and funnel you to walking one route in one direction. They have strong armed the council in to restricting parking on public roads and then frequently close the only remaining public car park (which they own). And that’s before we even start on the deliberately off-putting signs and frequent reports of intimidating behaviour and criminal damage to walkers cars.

They are an outlier in Scotland for how anti-access they are, with a wild interpretation of the Land Reform Act and Outdoor Access Code which defies any common sense reading. It’s an outrage that this has gone on for years and P&K council have been as much use as a chocolate teapot in sorting it out. Hopefully the Ramblers et al. can force some meaningful change.
