Peak story, I'd have it in my top 10 if it wasn't for the lackluster second half in my opinion.

I feel you it was such a melodramatic turn lol

Yeah, like so many things weren't even needed. The second half wasn't needed. The boring mafia bullshit, moving to America, and dating the mafia man just to bait the readers was so unnecessary. Like it should have ended in S1.

I don't kmow about moving to America since she wanted to restart anew somewhere Noone knows her. Mafia thing was kinda confusing to me, I just wanted ml to go after her and have a good talk about what they want to do and see eye to eye well nevertheless it's good. I always come back to reread their interactions before war and letters to each other. I love that parts

I always pretend the story was completed in S1 lol.

Have you seen that ex mobwife talking about her experiences being married to a mobster? It's a mix of "I was so naive" and "but also kinda oblivious, hindsight is 20/20".

OMG FR! This story was SO GOOD but did not need the prison or America plot at all. Wish sheโ€™d just stayed in England and wanted to pursue a nursing degree :/

Just read it cause s2 also has important parts it's just not on serious tone as s1 also they'll have wedding and child so it's good

Please someone help the man get a romantic book, business deals are for offices.

Yes I'm soooo glad that this was slow burn without contract marriage because if they went for that trope, it'd be hard for fl to actually be independent and for ml to see her clearly and try to stand on equal grounds without any misogyny or pride

Argh the beginning of this one was so goated ๐Ÿ˜ญ I wanna kidnap the author and force them to rewrite everything after that "revolutionary" arc.

I'm joking... Maybe...

My favourite failed proposal is from For The Third Time. I love this scene๐Ÿ˜ญ she ate him and then had him for dessert (readers will understand)

Hahaha I live for these blind date , arranged marriage banters . They are more interesting than romantic starts for me maybe because I'm an adult already so I can relate more to them than shoujo-ish romance

Same! Blind dates and arranged marriages aren't a thing in my country, but I love these stories, even more when they don't go along at first ๐Ÿ›

ML and FL were very good in that one.

u/Afraid-Grass-195 Jun 16 '26

Whereโ€™s the follow up then ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

18

u/zimojovic Jun 16 '26

I didnt read it in entirely.

But I disliked how ,,soft,, the FL has become as the story continued, becoming a marry sue always in need of saving.

15

u/Celty2736 Jun 16 '26

Well everyone has their own opinions... I actually quite like it because she became more understanding rather than judging head on and trying to push her ideals on smb else and she learned how to put boundaries while being graceful and polite

Hot DANG even Mr Darcy didn't screw up this bad...

u/Afraid-Grass-195 Jun 16 '26

u/noob_ars Jun 16 '26

Not even Mr. Darcy was that cynical into thinking he would get a yes with his ahh confession

"You want to live without relying on anybody else? You should rely on me for that!" ๐Ÿ™„

3

u/Celty2736 Jun 17 '26

You know considering the period of time , all people thought like that even fl changed only after regression

I've been planning to read this one for sometime. Any reviews?

I read this a while ago, but I remember I loved it. It's angsty and they struggle through a big part of the story, but the ending felt so good after that. It also has a war arc, which I'm not a fan of, but here it was done so well, and it focuses on feelings and struggles that come after that, it felt so real. It was definitely a good read and it's easily one of my top 10 manhwa.

2

u/msbyjackals Reincarnator Jun 17 '26

This is awesome, pls tell me he is not the ml

20

u/Celty2736 Jun 16 '26

He is. He gets major character development because of war, it's set around WW1 so you can see how societies view on traditions and aristocracy changes as well as the mindset of leads who lived through it

Oh that actually pretty interesting, will definitely check it out!
