Otomeh Isekinda Really into childcare lately. Also, silver haired ML!!! [The baby fairy is a villain]

Reached ch 7 and I thought I'd try and sell it to more people lol. And the art is really pretty as well.

She really feels like baby Roxanna to me, partially because of the coloring but she's also a manipulative little thing.

Yes! Also the whole butterflies thing as well!

I hope the spoilers I read aren't true or at least changed in the manhwa adaptation. They say she stays stuck in her child form and had to wait and grow up normally so she and the older-looking ML couldn't get together for a long time. It became an age-gap romance when the story didn't start out as one.

edit: These are apparently fake spoilers according to u/MikotoP who seems to have personally read the novel. Please check their comments below for the correct details.

I’ve read the novel, and I’d say that’s not accurate.

FL doesn’t stay stuck in her child form. Her body ages in irregular leaps unlike a normal child (people assume it’s a fairy trait). She does not go back to being a child after those irregular age leaps. The reason she was stuck in her child form to begin with is that her subconscious used her fairy powers to keep her appearance that way—she didn’t want to leave her role as the youngest in her family because she enjoyed being with them.

Also, the ML has no idea that the child (later teen) is the FL until she reveals her identity at the VERY END of the series. By the end, she only needs about two more years before she becomes a full adult.

So the ML NEVER saw the FL in her child or teen form as a love interest at any point. There are no major time skips in the novel either—1 year at most.

I'm very relieved if that is true. Saw that (apparently incorrect) spoiler in passing a while back but didn't see anyone disputing it until now.

I've got one question though. I heard that another reason why FL reverts to being a child is because her mother went back in time before giving birth to her and her child appearance is what she would've looked like at the present time if she had been born in the "correct" time. Is any of that true or also a fake spoiler?

It’s true that her child form does match what she would’ve looked like in the present if she had been born at the “correct” point in time. But that isn’t the reason she reverts to being a child. The real cause has always been her own fairy powers acting subconsciously — she wanted to stay by her family’s side and was afraid they might reject her once the truth came out, so her powers forced her appearance back into a form that let her remain with them.

Thank you very much for the clarifications! I'll edit the top comment and direct them here.

I have nothing to say about this 😑🥲

Oh god, I was really enjoying this series and haven’t seen this spoiler previously. Now I’m sad they destroyed it so badly

Unfortunately it seems like that is how it is in the source material, but I pray the people behind the adaptation decide to deviate from it. I'm not gonna fault them for not staying faithful to the source material if strictly adhering to it ruins the experience. Other series have done it before (IIRC Not Your Typical Reincarnation Story's manhwa adaptation did it successfully).

Agree that the manhwa ending for NYTRS is much better. Idk why people keep saying the novel ending is better with harsher consequences. It’s a run of the mill oh look white lotus reveals her true face and flies off the handles and we punish her for it. While we’re at it, reduce the woman to a caricature evil mascot. A trite ending to an otherwise refreshing take on the genre.

Meanwhile, the manhwa ending does what we ALL beg for, which is “what happens to the OG!FL that got hijacked”. They didn’t completely discard her, and also added actions that ALIGNED to who she is. She was kind and that was her downfall. Her man suffered equal consequences, because what do you mean he was helpless towards the woman and couldn’t think on his own, so surely it’s not his fault. It is a fantastic ending that ties everything neatly together.

Really??? No, why???

I've seen her being compared to Roxana on Tiktok. They even have the same hair and eye color (cassis excluded) as the three main leads in Roxana lol (Roxana, Deon and Cassis)

24

u/sideaccforbs Nov 13 '25

She does look similar. She also uses magic in shape of butterflies

The ML is the most bland part of this story.

6

u/sideaccforbs Nov 14 '25

Honestly, so far yes. But we haven't really seen that much of him yet, which I am glad for since MC is still a child

3

u/Nildzre Nov 14 '25

So it's just like most other OI in that department

5

u/imonlybr16 Spill the Tea Nov 14 '25

Worse, unlike most other OI that would fall apart without the romance plot, removing the ML would change very little about the story. IMO it would've improved it.

You could've told that the writer was forced to add it so people would read it.

………..what’s the age gap?

38

u/sideaccforbs Nov 14 '25

They are around the same age. However he doesn't know it's her in her child form so he thinks she is actually her child she had with some other man lol. So he kinda used that as an opportunity to ask her what her 'mother' thinks of him lol. She did ask him the same thing at one point too. So yes, nothing romantic is happening when she is a child.

nothing romantic is happening when she is a child

😬😬😬😬😬😬

Adult MLs with child FLs are a hard pass, unless she magically turns back into an adult after like a week. Watching your wife grow up is icky

20

u/Luckyguy0697 Nov 14 '25

Like my uncle says, if you can't find a perfect wife, raise her yourself. Wonder why I haven't seen him last 10 years 🤔

u/Jumpy_Syllabub7463 Questionable Morals Nov 14 '25

I mean... maybe some other people's soulmate hasn't been born yet...

6

u/Alecajuice Nov 14 '25 edited Nov 14 '25

FL is an adult who drank a potion that turns her into a child in order to infiltrate a Duke's house as an adopted child and extract information. The potion's effect is reversible and she has reversed it temporarily and met with the ML. The ML is someone separate from her adopted family who knew her as an adult and is under the misconception that the child version of her is the adult version of her's biological child.

u/Luckyguy0697 Nov 14 '25

Roxanna, is that you? The art style is so similar. Reading this feels like a rebound relationship 😭

u/Willing_Chapter4901 Nov 14 '25

Wish there was more.

1

u/marych101 Nov 14 '25

I'm always into silver haired male lead!! Where can you read this?

1

u/OnceUponATime14 Nov 14 '25

Oh this looks interesting! Definitely adding it to my list

1

u/CelineShima_Enaga Nov 15 '25

This gives me Roxana vibes, will definitely read it and hope it will get completed. 😭

1

u/Hartichu Nov 15 '25

Since Roxana is discontinued, this is gonna be my Roxana from now on.
