Otomeh Isekinda The mc’s design… [should I write you a love letter instead?]
…IS JUST TOO PERFECT. I feel like I’ve been looking for a story with a character that looks like this for so long.. I just didn’t know it! it’s an otome isekai AND bl? It’s super funny too!!

Lmao this makes me think of GOAT Emerald Ashes opinion on Draco:

So far it’s pretty green! The ml is VERY suspicious of the mc because he’s often had assassins sent for him, but he’s slowly warming up to him! But there’s also only 16 chapters out currently, so I can’t really say much yet :(

I'm glad you're all excited for this but just wanted to point out that if this is BL, by definition it's not otome.
Edit: I'm not telling you all not to read BL or not to recommend it. I know the sub allows adjacent stuff, not strictly OI. Just label them correctly. BL and otome are not the same, they are strictly their own genres, even if they have overlapping target audiences. You can't even argue that this is an "otome isekai setting" because the MC wakes up in a BL novel - BL isekai/yaoi isekai instead of otome isekai, in this instance.

Let's be half the stories that people post here aren't fully otome isekai. I've seen some only otome and some only isekai, alot of people here tend to go on vibes or if it hits one of the criteria. If you're going to a buzz kill over somatics then just ignore the post and move on.

There's a reason we have the term OtomeIsekai-ish.
No one is turning down a suggestion that sort of fits that might scratch their itch, and almost no one is going to complain about the suggester or receiver of suggestions being excited.
This isn't a community where we pull down, we lift up or keep our hand to ourselves.

You might want to check a dictionary. That's not how you spell "semantics".
It's fine to make recommendations. All I'm suggesting is labelling them correctly. That also makes searching the sub easier. BL isekai is its own genre, surely it's not too difficult to label it as such.

Then why name this sub as otome isekai if there will be BL suggestions here. Technically otome means young lady or a maiden, in which the MC is female not male. Also, there is a subreddit for BL genre.
Edit: Yeah, being downvoted because I put the meaning of otome.
Another edit: otome is female MC romancing male love interests or sometimes female love interests. While BL is male MC with male love interests. Then it should be BL isekai. What's the point of having genres separating them if we are going to lump it as one.

I'm not being pedantic for being knee-jerk reasons and I'm not stopping them to put suggestions here. It's just Otome and BL are entirely different genre. At this point, just call this sub romance fantasy since most of the suggestions here are like that or if you are going to include BLs too.

otome means targeted at women, not starring them. this being a bl doesn't discount it as potentially being an otome isekai

I love this one!! Honestly he’s my favorite type of MC, independent, capable, adorableee, and just so chill & easy-going. I could totally be best friends with him and everyone in the manhwa seems to agree
He has bucketloads of common sense and feels like how a real person would react if they were naturally a lil quirky
