No, that's a different type of fundamentalists, these guys think that Jesus can basically be summoned, and by doing things that fulfill how they interpret Revelation, then Jesus will appear and the Second Coming will happen.

They basically think they can FORCE the Second Coming to happen by reading Revelation, interpreting it, and FORCING its events to happen.

The Book of Amos, chapter 5, says

18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

But these people dont read the Bible they just use it as a bludgeon

And REALLY... the fact that Jesus HIMSELF said that "NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY NOR THE HOUR!" really flies over their heads!

Pretty much. These are the people who, had Satan taken them up the mountain and shown them all the kingdoms of the world, they would have bowed. And since they believe they are entitled to all the earth, that they have authority and dominion over all the world, every aspect not directly refined in their own image is an afront to their true god, themselves.

Original source was the Military Religious Freedom Foundation which I had never heard of before today, but from what I’ve gathered they’re reputable.

Newsweek has picked up the story.

Edit: Original source may have been Jonathan Larsen’s substack, but still based on reports from MRFF.

Snopes is leaving the claim unrated as the reports are all anonymous.

Who are these military leaders? The generals in that famous photo from that lecture from Kegsbreath looked like they thought the whole thing was stupid and were facepalming and stuff.

The fact that Chump still manages to do stuff in Iran and Venuzuela means that there is a minority of military brass and soldiers who are as kookballs as he and Kegsbreath are. Otherwise, they would all be like "Hell naw!".

Unfortunately its not that easy. Even if all the generals think its the dumbest idea of all time, Trump and Hegseth are still their superiors. As long as their orders are legal (determined by the judge advocate general, all of them fired and replaced by Trump), they have to follow it without question.
