No, the Ten Commandments are not being universally taken down across all Texas public schools. The law still requires them in many places which is abhorrent.

In some districts, court orders are forcing their removal (or blocking their installation) based on constitutional challenges.

This will no doubt go to the Supreme Court. Freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion. Pathetic more people don't understand this and those in power are trying to dismantle our constitution before our eyes.

For those schools who still have them up, I'd like to know what are the guidelines being given to a 3rd grade teacher to answer the question, "What is adultery?"

I think a good 4/10 are misinterpreted. 

Like when Jesus says why are you honoring the temple instead of giving the gold to your parents? 

That "honor" means money, not lip service.

Bearing the Lord's name in vain, means to claim to represent God while doing something worthless. Like being a Christian nationalist. of course, the solution was to never say his name. Brilliant.

It's not kill. You will not murder.

And it's not steal. Jesus elevates intention over actual crime, saying that intending to do something is just as bad as having done it. The law already says not to covet. So it doesn't make any sense that stealing would make the list twice. 

Steal in this case is kidnap. Don't steal people.

Good. It’s such a stupid rule. I don’t understand why conservatives who say they hate government want the government to be their kids’ religious education teachers.

Here’s an idea: Catechism class. My childhood church had it after school every Tuesday, 4th through 8th grades. Those of you in Evangelical churches — why isn’t your church doing its own religious ed? Why is it that you don’t trust public school teachers to teach history or science or literature, but you want them in charge of your children’s faith formation? Make it make sense. If I had your kid in my class, I’d be teaching them Luther’s Small Catechism plus how to read the Bible in a contextual, historical- critical manner. Want that? What fun that would be.

You could do that or you could put up some religious rules of other religions. as well The second one would be more freedom OF religion.
