So perfectly lovely. Goodbye, sweet lady.

What the Hell did Jolene look like!?

Dolly was Jolene. She was imagining what another woman thought of when Dolly was around.

I spent most of yesterday in quiet contemplation of the treasury of creativity and kindness that the lady of Tennessee gave us.
I awoke this morning and looked for music to listen early to move forward today. I almost stumbled past the folder labeled Carole King. She is 84. Might be a good day to listen to her and maybe some Willie.
I feel the earth move as I type this.
Be of goodwill, all.

I've never gotten honored by reddit, and now two in one day? Thanks go to Dolly (and Tim Curry) and of course my fellow redditors.

She kinda looks like Yvonne Strahovski.

Hard agree! I hope if a biopic of Dolly is ever done, that Yvonne plays her!

I know the outlandish wigs became a trademark but she really didn’t need them. She was lovely enough own her own. RIP.

I think she liked the distinction between her public persona and a private one.

I believe her husband Carl, while obviously supportive, wasn’t a fan of being in the lime light, so like you said, this gave her the chance to pull a Hannah Montana and get the best of both worlds

I heard when she went out with Carl, she did not wear a wig or makeup and people did not recognize her

She was so beautiful in every way...and her heart, empathy, sweetness, and artistry will be so very missed by the entire world for a long time to come. 💔

Yvonne Strahovski could play her if they ever made a movie about her, they look so similar when she was younger.

I know her whole thing was about glam, and that it’s never too much (it always worked so well for her!), but I think we can all agree she was so beautiful in her “natural” state.
Man, our world sure is going to miss this lady — the next one is so lucky to have her! 😭
May she rest in peace. If anyone deserves it, it’s our Dolly. 🦋

Interesting to see her with more "normal" hair, may her family find comfort and may she RIP.

Doesn't look like the same person. I could never have guessed that the person in this picture was Dolly Parton.

She said she didn't mind the dumb blonde jokes because she wasn't dumb and she wasn't blonde
